This one curse seems to be similar to Petrificus Totalus or the "full body-bind curse" the H/P series. If the magic system is the same, there are several options that the witches' apprentice could do. 1) The General Counter-Spell = Finite Incantatem, simply draw a shield symbol with a wand or finger. 2) Since the witches' apprentice still needs to chant, then the spell - Reparifors would work. *Pronunciation Aid = re-par-i-fors.
Is it weird that this is making me think of Wizard 101 even though it’s been around a decade since I’ve played? My narrative loving brain saw the young wizard as someone who helped out in the various crises because it was good practice and/or people asked him nicely. His teacher, as far as I remember, was a creepy witch who nonetheless was a kind person who cared about her students. But… should that really be enough? I guess y’all can figure it out. 🤷♂️
