The Format, his first band… Something like folk meets indie with a touch of punk and pop and lands effortlessly in the 60’s-70’s music era making it unequivocally the most timelessly unique set of albums I have ever heard and have memorized in my soul. Not to in any way diminish F.U.N or The Grand Romantic as both are while completely different (minus the subtle yet lovely word play repeats that connect something from each of the groups and solo album) in many ways are equally in a level of excellence. “I’d sell “my soul” for a chance to hear any of the bands or Nate live.
Watching this I feel Nate Ruess has lost some personal confidence. He shouldn’t though, he’s one of a kind, incredible voice, unbelievable control and like Pink said that time, no one sings like him.
