Some of the images are cut and gone as well on the censorship, hopefully since they said they're fixing images on 2.3 version we can do the localization = 1 as the one intended for the game not the censored version we got right now.
I am not going to partake in the file change as I will probably just play the base version but I do like that there is a current alternative for those who want it with the file change. (I am slightly tempted tho) But I do wonder if it will continue to exist haha.
For those who want to just read my thoughts! I will continue making content/playing snow break as I still find the game fun. But I do find it painful as I really did enjoy the old swimsuit Katya look before the censorship (Obviously). I was so close to buying the Marian skin too. It is so unfortunate that the summer patch got censored and I am worried about the direction as they have been primarily focusing on fan service. I hope they can cook up in other aspects gameplaywise and make skins that are appealing and still remain appropriate so we do not get "scammed/censored" again. At least they gave people back their Bitgold so you can save/buy upcoming content, but it does suck you can not get real life money back. The people I really feel bad for are the people who bought the battle pass as the bitgold amount amount was lower due to "Bitgold being spent on battle pass rewards". This is my one problem with the whole ordeal as I feel like most people buy the battle pass primarily for the skin so it feels a bit painful for those who did not receive the full amount of Bitgold spent on the battle pass. For example, when they did the previous selling all skins due to censorship they made people buy the battle pass before you can buy the censored battle pass skins for 48 Bitgold. I also agree with the sentiment that it will be hard to trust them after getting burnt twice but hopefully they can bounce back. At least the upcoming Frita skin is quite adorable with the pajama concept. I am worried about the Siris outfit as there are differences between the cinema version and gameplay one according to the trailer. Hopefully it turns out well and the game can remain Snowpeak! I would give it at least a few patches... TLDR: (Joke sort of) I was tricked, backstabbed and quite possibly, bamboozled...
Yeah I can see that happening. I do not really like the file changing as it is not really part of the game but at least it exist for now for those who want to see the uncensored version. However, it does not feel like a sustainable solution like you said.

In the future changing a file won't help, because new content will be tailored to the censorship laws at the time.
