I think Sohei is the perfect example of the Mallenia effect, his hole kit is lame, no mix ups, pretty slow, low damage, no hyper armour dispites he is heavy, very predectible playstyle. Just cause one of his attacks is broken, people think he is OP
I think Ubisoft needs to take this one back to the kitchen and cook a little bit more. If his regular attacks are bad but his passive is broken then the character is fundamentally flawed. Being forced to get your passive to be viable is not a great feeling. The one shot hype will fade and he will get reworked.
i think all his attacks using the spear should have standard damage and just his 6 weapons should have nerfed damage. so he has constant pressure like any other hero and not just tickling someone for ages
Ubisoft can only make the same character so many times. Imo, he's a breath of fresh air. If his playstyle doesnt jive, don't play him. Instead, choose one of the other 20 characters who play the exact same.
lets not just normalize every character to being perfectly homogenous. Thats a boring as fuck way to make new content. He can have high and low moments

as someone who has only seen content on this character it feels like if u just increased all his attacks by 2 or 3 dmg and decreased the oneshot dmg by 20 he'd be pretty balanced. Either he'd be balanced or broken even more.
i would give him 3 bars finisher and enhance 2nd fast atack so it cant be parried after hitting the first fast attack, heavy atacks should have more damage, same as dodge heavy. Also grab strikes should be more dangerous by 2 damage at least each strike
Light parrying with sohei makes sure fights go quick buuuuut you literally have to light parry to go crazy with him. I feel like if the bash was something you could throw out to change stances that'd be good for him, especially if you could fient it into a guard break.
Sohei is literally a hero that you could be fucking up 95% of the fight, maybe land a light or two. But if you manage to somehow get in 2 sneaky Gb's you are rewarded a win. One bash, pretty much instant kill at that point. One parry, light or heavy? Instant kill. His base damage is ass, but the fact that you can be bad the whole fight and are rewarded for it is baffling.
Just be extra careful to watch for gb. If his kit revolves around it its a lot easier to defend than if it was just part of his kit like so many other heros. He isn't rewarded for play I g bad he's rewarded by playing good and even maybe playing against a worse opponent.
I am mad and sad because I can't do anything without receiving no health bar so hopefully I can return but at least I can watch U King misty to keep in the loop of the new hero I am only level 5 nearly 6

Sohei is definitely not too good, but being able to get a near one shot off of a couple mistakes makes him a terrifying yet annoying character.
They should put down the damage of his special attack to 50… all I ask for. 50 is still good

The weapons on his back are organised as left-top-right. If you’re missing one just look at his back. White are lights black is heavy
The way I've been doing it is that they go in a repeating order of heavy light from left to right

4-5 business days to get a kill. If your opponent can counter a guard break once, your entire kit is ruined and you picked a dead weight character.
