Thanks for the comments on the 737 hitting the wall. I'm an A&P mechanic also and hate all these people blaming Boeing for a 15 yr old airplane. It's amazing how many gum flappers are out there ready to spew their uneducated opinions.
Happy new year Stig! I wish you only the best for 2025. I'm an airline student pilot, and I'm moving from France to Sweden to finish my training. I'm counting on hopefully getting a job there, and I can't help but to sometimes reflect on the investment made and to come, both financially and personally. Although I am making a very considerate decision, a huge loan at my young age and leaving behind friends, family and partner sometimes darkens the love and passion I feel for aviation. But through your videos, you share such joy, enthusiasm and insights at the "behind the scenes" of my future job that I can't help but to feel comforted in my decision to do so, and for this I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You represent the values and mindset I can only wish to have one day, and seeing you enjoy this job to the point where you feel like sharing it with strangers on the internet truly is a gift for us. With everything happening right now, aviation has definitely seen better days. And if 2024 left us with a very bitter aftertaste, I hope that 2025 will bring around better winds, towards safer flights together. Happy new year!!
I'm glad you have Mr. Greg Feiff as you're guide. I followed all the Air Crash Investigations that he was in charge of and liked his approach very much.
In this New Year, we’re watching STIG. An amazing guy, who inspects the rigs. If there’s a worry, he’ll be there in a hurry. If you’re flying on American, you can be sure he will be on your side. From the engines to the emergency slide. He wants his passengers safe and works hard to see that’s done. He will even allow some grease to get through his glove and on his thumb. He goes above and beyond. Knowing that many of his birds will travel over the pond. I’m a pilot and appreciate STIG well. He is a beautiful, loving man. I think he’s swell!
Happy new year brother stig.Another amazing video, brother Stig. The past 2 videos are amazing as well, full with a wealth of information. My coworkers asked my opinion about that Korean 737 . Every thing you said about the incident and landing,i told them that. This new year that has begun, may it be full of good health and abundant blessings, to you and your family. Thank you for blessing us the viewers, with your amazing videos full of knowledge. Thank you brother , later🤙
As always, thank you, Stig. Confessing to falling asleep during the first couple minutes and waking up at the end. Got a cup of coffee in me and enjoyed your content, fully awake. At the AVL NYE show at The H, we were honored to have newly retired ATC, “Later Tater” with us for most of the evening. We were part of aviation history, listening to his sign off and later, with him at the show. On the trip home, I purposely sat over the wing to watch it work. Thanks to you, I understand avionics much better. Even picked out the barking dog on our A 320. Looking forward to your adventures in 2025. Be safe, take care.
Hello Stig, I am so happy to see you today sir! WOW, that level of dense fog you can't see anything, no wonder the pilots were moving extra slow! That was a lot of 787's in a row, there must have been a reason for that. Interesting the design of the 787 to capture gray water, but thats going to make the plane heavier if that tank is full too. I have so much respect for your Stig, you are amazing! Based on what you said about the accident, given the information, I agree with you sir. Happy New Year! 💓
I laugh every time... I used to take breaks outside the hanger at KPHX and watch America West and Southwest race to the end of the runway on the parallel taxiways!
Yesss, the best wishes for you and everyone around you! Love your work and the way you do it! Always positive. Amazing. I hope you can continue your work for years and keeps showing it to us. And no, it isn’t boring. Not a chance. I love it. Thank you very much for being who you are! Thank you.
Thank you for your comments on the Jeju Air accident, Stig. Concerning that airport perimeter wall, it is not made of reinforced concrete as the ILS antennas base structure; it is made of hollow cement blocks. The causes of the emergency will be investigated. The cause of the tragedy is already defined. The number of casualties would be much, much lower if that concrete wall didn't exist. The main reason for so many deaths was not the fire but the internal traumas caused by the shock; so strong that almost vaporized the airplane. Very sad December for aviation. Anyways: Thank you for your always educational videos; thank you for your inspirational insights; thank you for your important service in keeping the "offices" safe for us. Happy 2025!
I just want to say thank you! I will be a technician at Condor, in collaboration with Lufthansa Technik and Cessna/Beechcraft. This year my 3,5 year education starts. It's absolutely incredible how you constantly kept me motivating being an aircraft technician some day, and without your videos I would have studied aviation management. I enjoy every single second of your vids for me sitting here in Germany it is very, very nice to get a view how it is in the US. I'm so excited about the coming years and yeah I just wanna say thank you!
Great episode, learned about inclinometers and their use when sticking fuel tanks, a way to jack an aircraft using its own tires, and new TO Surv feature on Airbus! Love these videos!
Happy New Year Stig! Thanks for another Stig Adventure. I am amazed every week by your breadth of information. It is truly phenomenal! As uncomfortable that it is to discuss the 737 accident in Korea, it was very interesting to listen to your explanation.
The BA take-off at 16:01 with the water vapour/fog in the engine inlets during the roll then above the wing on rotate and during climb was just wonderful.

Hello stig, I find your Videos so good, as an learning aircraft engine mechanic (3rd year), its verry inspiring seeing your vides and explenations of crutial aircraft systems, sadly on Thursday evening at my work here in germany, a plane also crashed and sadly also resulted in loss of life.
Btw, the airport perimeter wall looks to me like it's made of cinder block and cement which is much more "malleable" than a concrete wall as a foundation to support an elaborate ILS system and antennas.
I don’t disagree with you, but the fact still stands why did this happen in the first place., The cinderblock would’ve also caused a lot of damage and destruction with an aircraft going at that rate of speed.
Happy New Years Stig. The Jeju crash baffles me as most go-arounds you fly the runway heading. It will be interesting to see the final report, if anyone remembers by the time it comes out.
Like you said it has been a heck of a year. Definitely have learned so much from your videos and can’t wait for what 2025 has in store. Thank you Stig for taking me along for the ride. Your videos allowed me to sit back and watch American AMTs work on the Airbus 319 I was supposed to be on and see what you always show us but in person. An amazing experience to have been able to see and understand that the beauty was in good hands. Thank you again and on to 2025!
26:05 at around this time on the panel at the top it looks like a couple of audio connector sockets, one if a jack socket was the other a three pin XLR socket? For an additional microphone for the CRV?

Happy New Year Stig! Thank you for all the invaluable insight and information for all us avgeeks. Always a good time when you post a new video! Wish you all the best🙂
I think the reason people blame the berm/“wall” is because it significantly attributed to the total lose of life. Standards for above ground objects and run off areas has changed over the years. Generally for the better. At least how modern layout should be. Broncolliro did a video talking about talking about this. Albeit another wall further down the way. I think we would have seen more people survive. I imagine had it been the perimeter wall, front 1/3 would have had serious/fatal injuries. That’s not accounting for possible fuel tank rupture and ignition. But better odds none the less.
I do agree with you, once again it’s a poor design, but the underlying factor is why did this airplane land like that in the first place. Hopefully they will figure this out soon.
@@StigAviationYour absolutely right. I hope we find out why and for what reason that the plane landed in such a manner. Based on one engine out, this shouldn’t have happened this way… dual engine failure (Or perhaps failing) then I can see why they rushed. But not I didn’t flaps, slats, speed brakes, landing gear? Reverse thrust cowling back on damaged engine slide back. (based on other videos.) I don’t want to Monday night quarter back these pilots, but watching your videos, the redundancies you have explained, I would have like to think there should have been a better outcome.
Thanks for your videos! I completely agree that people need to stop bashing these modern flying marvels! Boeing or Airbus, or any other planes are made by humans and flown by humans, which are like the machines they operate, can, and do occasionally glitch! Great educational content!
Happy New Year Stig! I appreciate your analysis of the South Korean incident. And while I already had a lot of respect for you and what you do, in my opinion your stock just went up knowing you are part of the incident “go team”. Hopefully you never have to go! Thank you for what you do!
Happy New Year! All the best for 2025! Hopefully the events of the last couple of weeks are a glitch and everything stabilizes. Thanks for ending with my baby, the B747. Love it!
Been a pleasure to see your content, man. Happy to have found it last year, now I never miss it. Here's to you a more success, health, financial stability, peace of mind and importantly, consistency and safety in your profession. Have a good one man. Sending a lil Caribbean greetings.
Hey Stig ! 26:23 There is one thing that changed that you've missed here ; now regardless if the aircraft is fitted with one or two fire bottles in the AFT compartment, the vu panel is the same ! If you look closely, it is very similar to the panel for single bottle but the DISH buttons are slightly raised up. This is part of both a FCOM change and unification between single and double bottles interface.
Happy new year Stig and all the best for 2025. Amazing videos and content week in week out! Really appreciate the time and effort. See you on the next one!
I had like a bad feeling about landing gears ever since I asked you about like a month ago and it was bothering me until I saw the news truly horrifying but got to keep my chin up happy new year and god bless
Thanks for showing the oil fill flap to the oil reservoir. I was always wondering what would protect the system if the cap wasn't closed properly or accidentally left open.. Happy New Year Stig...
If you ever have the time, can you give us a closer look at how the jet bridge works, and perhaps take us on a ride-along with the operator when they move it into place?
@@Thegonagle it’s actually like a video game, it’s got a little joystick and a bunch of buttons. The joystick will move the wheels as well as move the bridge forward and backward. And the buttons will control up and down function and canopy function
And a Happy New Year to you sir, the 787 overload was fantastic, It amazes me the 787 from a distance always looks smaller and sits squat to the ground, but when you are up close and personal these are a pretty big aircraft. Is it better than the A350? I think it just pips it on technology being a composite airframe and wing. Great as always Stig.
It’s a beautiful aircraft and a very smart aircraft, as for comparison to the 350, I can’t really compare it because I’ve never worked on the 350. But I think they’re both very elegant aircraft.

Happy New Year Stig! I appreciate your analysis of the South Korean incident. And while I already had a lot of respect for you and what you do, in my opinion your stock just went up knowing you are part of the incident “go team”. Hopefully you never have to go! Thank you for what you do!

Thank you so much for pointing that out to me, I will go and do more reading and research on this. Very interesting.
Happy New Year!!!!!

It was very unusual, I really hope they figure out what actually happened.

Thanks for showing the oil fill flap to the oil reservoir. I was always wondering what would protect the system if the cap wasn't closed properly or accidentally left open.. Happy New Year Stig...

@@vicmacarra happy new year to you as well, all the best.
Great to hear from you good job thanks.

Did a hard stand deplaning of a Rolls Royce powered 787 recently. Bus was right by the engines. So I took a couple of photos of the engine. So pretty.
Very beautiful isn’t it. 👌
Look forward to your shifts ,
Thank you
I know i am late to the explain, however Stig your concept is 100 percent accurate and very well said.
Thank you very much
