I've driven quite a few HEMTTs, mainly cargo and fuelers. Almost every piece you were working on, I knew what it was before you were done. I haven't been around a HEMTT for about 10 years, so my hat's off to you and your skills. That is a piece of art, congratulations.
Thank You Andres. It's really nice to hear that from a person who saw (and even drived) with that truck. Who knows, maybe someday i will be able to see this truck for myself. Anyway i'm going to put another lights module, and change the painting of my M983 soon. So if You enjoyed my video please subscribe. I'm going to put some new videos of this hemtt after mentioned modifications. Greatings
pawloosw I also got a little bit of time in Dragon Wagons, HETs. But that was only because my tank was on the back. The only thing I can think of that you need (and maybe your variant didn't have it) was what we called the road kill window. It was a window right between the driver's feet, so that he/she could see almost straight down. It's not on every HEMTT, but I know the cargo and the fuel tanker, and possibly the wrecker had it. Like I said, I haven't driven one for a very long time, but I have to tell you they were very fun to drive. The only time I didn't have much fun was going down a +6% grade on two lane asphalt and it was icy. At the bottom of the hill there was a huge sweeping turn to the right. I was riding shotgun, but when the driver started to slow to make the turn, the HEMTT slowly drifted into a right hand slide. He was using the Jacob's Engine break, but all he did was barely touch the breaks and we were sliding. We road it out (not much choice) and after we were through the turn he babied it left and it went on down the road. I started a cigarette immediately, and he asked me for one. I said "You don't smoke". He said "It's a great time to start". The unit that I was in has turned all their HEMTTs in - I believe the only thing they still use is a PLS (kind of a HEMTT, kind of not). I have a few pictures of it - if you want them drop me a line and I will email them to you. vipermikegolf@yahoo.com
Andres Turner Yes, you're right. On this movie this window is missing. I've made it later. You can see it on my other movies of this hemtt (for example here: HEMTT M983 8x8 1:10 RC Truck ver. 2.0 ) I'll send You my email. If this is not a problem to You please send mi those pictures. ;-)
Nice! I worked in the factory assembling this truck during my time there and the level of detail you have on it is phenomenal... down to the mechanical components and even the chassis.
Pawloosw, you have a very special gift my friend. There is unbelievable detail on this truck. you should be proud of yourself. I'm super impressed. Please do more projects. peace be with you. John
WOW.... Amazing build you did there :-) Thumbs up. You build one for me too ;-) No... To be onest, this is one of the best home made builds i`ve ever seen. Keep up the good work. Best reguards from Norway :-)
How’d you get the detail on headlight lenses? I’m building this in 1/16th scale. I’ve commented on vids before but this is one hell of a build. Indisputably the best rig on the planet.
Thanks for sharing this video and what you have done is fantastic,a blinding build & it's all come together so well.I love how it moves off road & the suspension is a joy to watch really well done, love it oh & I really like the music;-). PS, can you please tell me the name of this music?, I find it very moving like it very much thank you, ;-).
I watched this vid AGAIN. We’ve talked in past about this rc. I’m committed to building in 1/10th now up from 1/16 . I think you said you sold it or wouldn’t sell.. either way my question is.. would you be willing to answer a question or two if I need in future?? Again.. love your work and this is way better than the HG P801/802 from factory.
This is a really awesome model. I'm working on a model of the 10x10 version, and was wondering if you might have templates for at least the cab/engine cover parts...Just to maybe shave a few weeks of research and building my own so I might be able to get it running by Christmas this year.
It was a few years ago, when i was buliding this model. I dont have any plans anymore. But dont worry, you can gogle many pictures of the hemtt. It toke me about few hours to complete the plans and photografs to make this model how it looks like. Greetings
This is a fantastic model, it must have been a lot of effort to get all the details worked out. I see in the photos that you had a line drawing of the truck; I am interested to know where I could obtain it?
Thanks man, Here You go: www.google.pl/search?q=hemtt+blueprint&client=safari&rls=en&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi17a-n1LDRAhUFEywKHd5-ANsQ_AUICCgB&biw=1190&bih=711
