Personally I think your the best Re-Seller out there. I love your knowledge, kindness and laughter. I look forward to Wednesday and Sunday videos. Your the reason I started selling on Ebay. I saw your videos over 2 years ago and binged watched then started my journey. My first year 2021 was pretty good, 2022 has not been that good for me. But I'm going to make 2023 a great year. I've followed your business model and someday hopefully will have many more items (not as many as you have). THANK YOU!!!!!!

I get all my packing materials for free from a source you might want to look for in your area. Naturopath doctors stock their own pharmacy bcs they prescribe nutritional supplements, vitamins etc that are not available in regular drugstores. These products are mostly in glass bottles which are well packed with lots of padded paper, bubble wrap, styrofoam, etc and of course boxes. The only packing material I buy is tape! I get everything else free from my doctor several times a week. I recommend if your town has a ND, give them a call and ask.

Karen you know I have been around from the beginning and this is by far the best video, I think because you took us down the meeting Roger path again. More detailed but so much fun. And for the record, you can see that Roger is extremely private and shy although I must admit you do have him appearing and giggling more often. Always am in awe of your stamina; you make me tired just watching and listening but your organization is by far the best I have seen . Not feeling well today and you were just what the doctor ordered. You put a huge smile on my face. God bless you both and see you next time.

You amaze me. And you remind me of my Aunty. She did the same as you. It is so weird-you look a lot like her. She was a stunning woman. She would jump in her van-drive from Michigan to Florida, hitting every auction house, yard sale all the way. Then visit w me for a week or so, we hung out at the beach, ate Greek food In Tarpon Springs, then she would head back north doing the same. She was my fav and I was hers. I started almost a year ago, reselling and it didn’t dawn on me what the hell she did, until I found your channel. She called herself a dealer. And eBay wasn’t even thought of. And computers were just coming out. Karen, she found a Roger too. His name wasn’t Roger, but he treated her like the Queen she was. Bawling my eyes out, rn. Hope I haven’t creeped you out. For the breakable items, in which you double box, or use the cardboard (example the senate glasses you sold - how did you provide the shipping cost to the buyer in the listing before you boxed it up) etc, how do you estimate the weight in order for the customer to know the shipping costs. Since you do not pre=box your items, i was wondering how you manage the shipping cost.

Cheaper than USPS Priority Mail boxes, saves the customer money and makes my item more affordable to ship. I would as the Paint Department salesperson for permission to take them. Now that is love, Roger was going to push you in the cart of the thrift to keep you from the puddles, that reminds of the comic strip "Love is" , so sweet.

Great video, Karen, as usual! We really appreciate your willingness to allow us into your professional business and personal life!
I have some questions regarding how you structure your Sales in terms of how many items you are discounting at any given time? How long do you run your Sales?
By what percentage do you typically discount your Sale items?
How do you select which items you're putting On Sale?
How do you gauge the pricing on your items so that you get the most return on your cash outlay for your products when you put them into a Sale and are taking a price reduction?
Is the Sale Price on an item the amount that you actually want to realize for it?
Do you put your items On Sale right out of the gate, or do they start out in your store at a higher price initially and THEN after awhile you put them On Sale?
Does every item go On Sale eventually?
(My nemesis has always been PRICING! Just figuring out my ROI is tough for me without trying to factor in a sales discount on top of that...!)
If you have a SYSTEM that you use for sales/ pricing that you'd be comfortable divulging I'd love to try to understand it!

Love you sharing how you run your business and the real life stuff. I love seeing how you've organized your basement and set up your photo room. I aspire to be at this level one day. I have 2 more years until retirement from a quite mentally demanding job. So I have been practicing a small scale through Facebook Marketplace trying to sell alot of my business clothing and shoes, etc. It's hit or miss but I have seen sales consistintly increasing. Thanks for opening you process to us.

Karen, Thank you so much for your vulnerability. I hope to be where you are in a matter of 5-10 years. I love seeing the different things that appeal to each of us thrifters! It helps me realize that there's no such thing as market saturation. It was so helpful to learn how you handle the back end of your business. While I know it can be exhausting, you always have a nice smile and demeanor for us. Like I said, you're my thrifting superhero. Thanks for sharing! 🤗👍
