Peter I think this could work better in the future if you do a running commentary, lower the auctioneers volume and go over each piece as they are sold! Absolutely love the content and I feel like I've learned so much from you thanks!
Peter, I sat there and watched the whole damned thing! Loved it. High end auctions are thrilling, sexy and exciting. Just think... these things went from the potter, to a home, bounced around collectors for centuries, wound up in the hands of dealers, galleries and were traded and sold for centuries. Now they are offered as art work, in uber high end auctions houses, where they will likely be in museums or will not be seen for generations in private collections, if ever. I think auctions are wonderful testaments.Shame all of them aren't archived, country and big city auctions. Thanks for sharing it. I never get to see them when they are live.
Thanks! If folks like these enough, we'll do more of them in the future. I agree with you, it's always fascinating. Hopefully they will in the future make improvements on the broadcast quality, it's not bad, but a little choppy due to "band width" and broadcast quality issues. We can record it just fine, but cannot alter how it comes to us. Still, fun to see. Best Peter
The price people are willing to pay for these items is somewhat irrelevant, they might as well be talking in trillions, it gets brain numbing after a while. I’m more interested in knowing the history of an items, who and where they originate from.
If you visit Christie's Site, many of these objects have rather good information pertaining to them under the "lot Essay" accompanying the items, you can learn a lot. best Peter
Thank you so much the video was very informative

Thank you Peter, I'll see if we can do that in the future, perhaps with a modest size auction as a trial. Best Peter
