As an Alonso fan, absolutely terrible to witness. Monaco 2023 was the 33 that went away. Getting Newey is great but how many miracles can he make? Fallows was a big disappointment in the end
I could see Newey winning with Aston but not before Alonso retires. That's why I was surprised he went there as it seems like such a long term project. It took Redbull 5 years to become champions. Is Alsonso still going to be driving in 5 years? I would have thought even Newey would want to retire before then.

I agree that Lance isn't as bad as some people make him out to be but that being said, at this point AM need to give him the boot. Lance doing his best James May impression at Brazil sealed it for me. Obviously Aston Martin's current problems go beyond Lance but still, getting a better driver in his seat would surely help. It's just a case of getting Lawrence Stroll to budge on the issue really.
Why would you want less Wind tunnel and CFD time when your car obviously sucks. AM's sponsors aren't going away and Money doesn't seem to be the problem.

I just hope there 2025 car is bit competitive relitive to the 24 car and more what the 23 car could have been. Maybe with Adrian's help he can make upgrades that should have worked for both the 23 and 24 car and maybe be there challenging the top 3 constructors.
How i see it the only way aston can be competitive in 2026 is that the honda engine its a rocket and the strolls are not involved in anything related to the team.
Well the other team that's probably had the wobbliest update success is Mercedes, at one point they looked pretty good and then dipped again. Anyway, Mercedes and Aston both use the same Wind Tunnel. Coincidence?
No. It's having a son driver who, on a good day, can compete with Alonso, who is notorious for not being able to develop a car and lost three WCs despite having the best and the fastest car in that season.
I mean the V6 idea came from Ferrari who didn’t want to use 4 cylinders engines for f1 as rightfully doesn’t fit their brand image and Renault was the ones who pushed through the whole hybrid idea rather than Mercedes Renault were the ones to push through the idea only to not put in the adequate resources for the PUs

You need to cover Mercedes getting the V6 plans much earlier than Renault and Ferrari, puts a big asterics next to all their world championships, IMO
I mean the V6 idea came from Ferrari who didn’t want to use 4 cylinders engines for f1 as rightfully doesn’t fit their brand image and Renault was the ones who pushed through the whole hybrid idea rather than Mercedes
