Judges, your efforts are appreciated. You had to deal with massive numbers of videos, close/hard decisions, and the inevitable clashes with fans of those who didn't make the cut. Thank you for your work. We are going to love seeing the competition!
But how did OSIS not get in. When i would judge He would be between 1st and 3rd. His rounds were sooo strong in my opinion. Very sad that didn't make it in 😢

It will be controversy as always but shout out to the judges for their time and effort, and big up to the winners. Been a year without GBB so I'm excited to see how it'll be this year. Shout out to the whole Swissbeatbox for everything you guys have done to out comunity too. It wouldn't have been this big without you guys!

Just a reminder Osis and Pono can still qualify from European and Oceania champs respectively and have a good shot in those (and possible Remix in an Africa hosted tournament? Not sure if that’s happening?)
From all the competitions I’ve watched, there is always people who are displeased. Even the BBU where the judging was partially subjective people were still upset when a battle didn’t result the way they wanted and were extremely toxic about. The community needs to grow up.

Improver's second round is absurdly good, little song such clean audio production
A lot of people seem to forget that you're suppose to enjoy beatbox as a whole. And not just be an immature fanboy and be toxic towards other skilled beatboxers.
I think I preferred H-has and Heartzel over a lot of these, but at the same time I still think this is a really good run of wildcards. Easy to see why everyone got in. Probably getting harder and harder to judge with how strong everyone has gotten.

people really need to respect the judges' decisions and ranking, its already not easy to rank like 300+ wildcards, we getting new faces on the scene, we are getting a GBB with super strong participants, no need to go " *** sHoUlD Be In NoT *** bAd JuDgInG" like a clown. love to the judges, love and congratz to the winners and looking forward to GBB :).
I think the system goes something like this:
Round one goes, every judge scores the wildcards, the average for everyone is taken, the top whatever go to round two.
Round two goes, every judge does the same again, but then the averages are combined and rounded and that is the final placing.
I don't think there's any unanimous decisions on anything, just averages based off of every single judges opinion on the wildcard, which leads to some interesting choices either way lol
But I agree nothing on the judges for the people making it through. Everyone did great.
Improver, JP, Den, Ice, and Wing were my favorite round 2s!
Good placements to be honest, wish Hippy or H-has got in though personally. Sick stuff regardless

For those who are asking why Remix isn't here.....HE'S ON 23rd PLACE OF THE FIRST ROUND GODDAMMIT!!! HE's 16th place on the second round so ya'll right about "But his 2nd round was beastttt😭😭😭😭"
I think what holds Remix back is that he leans into the bass too hard. He's more bass heavy than anyone in top 11 to the point that he sacrifices sound clarity to maintain that amount of bass in his tracks sometimes. He's capable of doing so much other stuff but compared to the beatboxers here, who use more balanced beats between vocals, percussion and bass, his rounds were just too bass saturated. Some people really fucking love that but it probably worked against him in the judging.

20th*, and then 16th, averaged like 18th place overall, others averaged higher than 18th, simple as that, idk why people are asking why he isnt here just do math from round 2s, plus subjectively u can tell the judges preferred other people over him because they brought different things that he just didn't add towards both his rounds and his career as a whole so far

I'm sorry, even though the loop and solo rankings had a couple controversial decisions... the people who got in all deserved it, I honestly see why each individual for solo and loop got in... I'm very happy with these rankings.. BRING ON THE BATTLES

i’m really happy for everyone who got in and i’m really excited to see jp, zvd. and den on stage at gbb. Of course i respect the judges decisions completely and i get that they have their ways of judging but i just don’t see a world where stitch didn’t make it in. Osis as well.

Dang 3 beatboxer I frequently listen to are actually in, I love improver's style it hits hard very powerful, helium is just so good with the flow and rhythm especially DnB, and of course Den with his musicality and sound placement very unique

Make sense. Those over 30 in first round cannot win because both score will be merged. That means there's no chance for them because even if their 2nd round is good. Their total is still lower than the last top 10

I'm not sure how H-Has, Yamori and Remix didn't make it. Hopefully the right 1st round results were used. NO DISRESPECT. 100% understand the severe difficulty of this and am still very stoked. Using previous scoring scales, I am confused how Mr. Androide and Den are in the places they are in.
Remix is bad,using inward/vibration bass always and always with same buildups and duck sound that does not fit in.He is maybe more repeatative than Inertia.

the wildcards are based off of originality, skills, energy, all that. Den and Mr. Androide's wildcards are all very original, have a very good aura and air of confidence, and are showcasing many skills among the two. they scored high because they are objectively good wildcards, your opinion is your personal preference which usually discounts objective things like this.

I was watching the live chat of the announcement, but the bad words were commented and honestly it wasn't a good feeling. Of course, there were differences between the conclusion made by the judges and my expectations. Everyone should have such a situation. I think it's the role of our beatbox family to accept that and enjoy this year's GBB. We should create a better environment for everyone. Swiss beatbox, thank you as always.
