"Load testing stateful applications in Clojure"
To load test simple websites, many tools are available, but they fall short for stateful applications with complex logic. Nine years ago, the situation was even worse, so I decided to write my own tool in Clojure (clj-gatling - github.com/mhj...) so that I can specify the tests as data and functions. Over the years, the tool has grown and now it is capable of load testing any kind of application. In this presentation, I will demonstrate how this works in practice.
Markus, a co-founder and lead backend engineer at gaming startup Roleverse, has 20+ years of experience building software in various industries ranging from gaming to fintech. He has held roles such as programmer, tech consultant, development coach, team lead, and CTO. Passionate about backend quality, Markus develops Clojure open-source projects and hosts a popular Finnish backend technology podcast as a hobby.
