Thanks for the videos, very helpful! But, what should I do with all these management theories? I mean, how to choose which one is the most suitable for an organisation? Another question, do real managers know and apply them?
Well ur channel went into mine recommendation chamber where i like to keep those things which i really do recommend to any one having any concern about managemental concepts...
Good Evening, thank you for this video. I have seen other videos and they mention "Recorded in writing" but you didn't exactly mention that one or maybe you did and I didn't catch it well... Thank you again!
Currently, we are using the fourteen principles of management that was developed by Henry Fayol in 1900 G.C. However, some of the principles are active and some are void in modern organization. Would you suggest the active and void principles in modern organization?
would it be possible to provide some additional reading links in the video descriptions? I find your videos to be excellent. However I spend much time trying to find where you get some of your quotes/ information so that I can read further.
Thanks Andy! Providing the sources sometimes is a little tricky because most of the sources I use are from scholarly article databases & require special access. These often have restrictions in terms of sharing outside of the actual database since they make money from subscriptions & article downloads. I'm not entirely sure if the sources that I used for this video fall into that category, but I'll confirm and follow up with you.
Andy Rumfitt Absolutely! Glad I can help. A few sources for this video include The Theory of Social and Economic Organization, which was actually written by Weber and published in 1947 and The Protestant Ethic and Spirit of Capitalism, also written by Weber. Hope this helps.
There seems to be a disagreement on whether Weber’s bureaucratic ideal type was prescriptive or descriptive. Some have argued that Weber wasn’t at all preoccupied with efficiency. That his ideal type was more geared toward creating a tool for measuring differences in organization between countries and across time / historically.
Awesome explanation... You should please add the disadvantages of this model and other references so we do not need to watch this here and go elsewhere for the other part...
Thanks for the video and outstanding tutorial. Hopefully the notes can be a little bit larger hahahahaha just imagine someone watching through the phone:))))

would you say that Weber's bureaucratic management and Fayol's Classical/Administrative management theory are directly linked and work together?
