that's what my best friend always says when we talk about the vampire diaries and the originals being the best tv series ever (which is often cuz we always complain the cw's series nowadays are just not as good), how the world had surpassed that vampire obsession stage, although I am never getting over it, I was just too immersed into the supernatural world as a kid to let my obsession totally disappear, it's so sad to think that there won't be any good tv series about vampires, werevolves,... anytime soon
tbh i'm pretty afraid of death and it's not about other people dying but me dying (i'm not saying this to sound heartless or anything) but the thought of dying and not being able to experience life, learn new things, just existing makes me terrified. i've still got so much i want to do
Dude, I’m surprised I have so much in common with Tablo! I had that same obsession with Vampires as him as a kid 😆. I used to wonder the same damn things. Maybe this is why I have an affinity for them. And it also kind of answers my question as to why I wanted to study philosophy cuz even as I kid I wondered about stuff that kids shouldn’t even be worried about at such a young age.
Well, as one of the guys in "What We Do I the Shadows" points out, he got tired of watching loved ones die. (Of course it's hilarious). Now THAT is a great vampire movie and yes, it has werewolves.
@@honeyv540 lol. Will check it out, but (I hope) you knew which one I meant. 🥴 ruclips.net/video/mzuNjOEwOLk/видео.html Had "Wakey, wakey!" as my morning alarm sound for a while.
I felt this deeply, cuz I went to the EXACT same thing because of the EXACT same fears. I still fear time a lot, death a little less, but I need to talk myself through it a lot to keep it a bay as much as possible
You need to watch the last season of the good place to see how the whole immortality mental exercise plays out. Really great show! I think you'd love it :)
When I was little my favorite character of monster high was Draculaura, and always loved the idea of the vampires but specially the idea of being immortal, I’m so terrified of death well not now but before I was so scared of the idea of not existing anymore, the fact that I’ll be gone and everything will become black and that’s it, but I think the thought of dying young it’s the most scary one, I’m so afraid of riding rollercoasters, of getting slightly sick and doing risky things, I become so nervous and start shaking and having the idea that I’m gonna die, Right now I’m not that afraid anymore because that’s something that’ll happen eventually, But still I’m not risking my life in any way
I have always loved vampires. I don't think I was ever afraid of dying. But I liked the immortality. From Highlander(immortals not vamps) to buffy the vampire slayer to all the blade movies, I loved everything vampires and immortal. I also haven't seen the other twilight movies but the first one.
Me too! I love vampires so much. Its not just the immortality thing though, its everything about them, including the lust for blood and being creatures of the night (lets ignore Twilight here...). My favourite vampire fiction is The Vampire Chronicles (Interview With the Vampire) I think perfectly captures all the psychological & philosophical aspects of what a vampire would face. Second to that has to be What We Do in The Shadows because it captures all the fun stuff about vampires in a hilarious way. But theres a lot of others. Dracula, Lost Boys, Castlevania, Hellsing etc etc. Also if you're into listening to Japanese music I recommend the bands Malice Mizer and The Versailles as their images are built around the whole vampire aesthetic & I love them they've made really great music (if you like metal/goth rock/rock in general).
OMFG I'm like Tablo! 😳 I was so afraid of death that I watch vampire movies. But with the intention to see how miserable it is to live forever, as a way to trick myself into thinking that death was a good thing. 🤣😅 I'm still afraid of death though 20 years later 🥺😢
Bruh, me too!! It has always piqued my curiosity and interest ever since I was like 6 or 7 a death in our family and incidents after has always puzzled me until I came across Anne Rice books (and any novels from set in the South or ex Louisiana settings on the walking dead, blood suckers dark magic and skin walkers and watched old vampire movies like Dark Shadows, and no not the new crappy spinoff with Johnny Depp, and into the Interview with the Vampire movie blew up (again the books are always more better and vivid) Dusk into Dawn, Blade, Queen of the Damned... then being Gen X growing up watching Buffy, Angel, Super Natural, to name a few shows, ohhh nostalgia is setting in and being on quarantine I might as well go back and reread and rewatch some of these! 🙆♀️ ~But if you haven't read any of Anne Rice books, that will be my humble recommendation to you, it's a must and for laugh and giggles you have to watch What we do in the Shadows by Director Taika Waititi👍 thanks from a Sleepless in Seattle fan 🤙
I feel like Tablo should check out the World of Darkness stuff, like Vampire: The Masquerade or Werewolf: The Apocalypse. I think he might at least like the lore of that stuff.
i want to be a ghost for the same reason and see the end of humanity and if ghosts can do it to go to other planets. also twilight is a fine piece of cinematic art
I am you know as always what running thru tablo's mind but hey, i am amazed by diane conversing with all the dive studios cast and be able to like somewhat debate with the host, just saying
like of course I understand how you feel as a kid not wanting to die, but think about it, what would motivate you to get up and be productive or just living your life to the fullest if there are not a time restriction (death). if you continue to live and live, you will run out of interesting things to do, you don't have motivation to do what you're doing now. In some sense the idea of running out of time to do things you love is what motivate you to do it. and i just realize i ditched my homework to type this cheesy comment. sheesh
I've seen many VAMPIRE movies... most had the same characteristics except for Twilight. I consider Twilight Vampirelite. The one aspect that stayed the same was that they were immortal. Every thing else was not even included.
I've always been a fan of vampire movies but sadly very disappointed by most vampire movies out there. No offense to anyone who's a fan but I felt like "twilight" was an insult to vampires. The only vampire movie I will always love is "queen of the damned", partly because it had rock music in it and partly because I had read the novel and was an Anne Rice fan before the movie came out
dying at the thought of tablo and tukutz watching twilight together sdkjdkjdj
i miss the obsession we all had in 2010 with vampires
that's what my best friend always says when we talk about the vampire diaries and the originals being the best tv series ever (which is often cuz we always complain the cw's series nowadays are just not as good), how the world had surpassed that vampire obsession stage, although I am never getting over it, I was just too immersed into the supernatural world as a kid to let my obsession totally disappear, it's so sad to think that there won't be any good tv series about vampires, werevolves,... anytime soon

When you are young and you are afraid of death, I think you are not really afraid of death. I think you are afraid of losing someone.
tbh i'm pretty afraid of death and it's not about other people dying but me dying (i'm not saying this to sound heartless or anything) but the thought of dying and not being able to experience life, learn new things, just existing makes me terrified. i've still got so much i want to do

the ending...... it's hilarious, poor TuKutz:))))

Dear Dive Studios, could you get from Tablo list of his suggested vampire movies?
Thank you so so much for all the work you put into these podcasts (thank you diane, dive studios, tablo, eddie, eric, jae jamie...) 🖤
That split second when Tablo said, “Time”... anyone else expected a “is tickin’... t-time is tickin’ tickin’...” ???
Well, as one of the guys in "What We Do I the Shadows" points out, he got tired of watching loved ones die. (Of course it's hilarious). Now THAT is a great vampire movie and yes, it has werewolves.

I dunno why this made me laugh so hard.

What we do in the shadows is my favorite vampire movie! It’s a really funny mocumentary directed by Taika Waititi.
I loove the series and the movie! Its so hilarious! I've heard that they might do a season 2 of the series as well! Fingers crossed.
Agreed👍then again anything by Taika is hilarious 🤙

tablo will be shocked if i told him that vampire does actually exist, lol
So where are they
Tablo should watch "What We Do In The Shadows"😂 It's a comedy
