I am having a binge day of watching you fall down the spinning rabbit hole. So much fun. If it makes you feel better, the animals would be so much worse off if we did not shear them. They need to be sheared and we need the fiber it is symbiotic relationship. Blessings.
wow i feel the same way about animal fibre!!i had never worked with it because i’m vegan and i have so much cotton options that i love, but i recently worked with mohair for a commission and it’s just soo special and nice to use! i’m loving the content dordy❤️
I have the same wheel, I love it a lot! I've learned to spin on a wheel first and I'm trying to get as good on my spindles (mostly clasped spindles). After you get to know the instruments enough that they are like an extention of yourself, the yarn doesn't differ much anymore. Or that is at least what I find :)
I exclusively use vegan fibres and thats mainly because I'm not sure how to ethically source animal ones! I love the idea of using mohair and diff fibres in general. I try to use a lot of cotton and second hand stuff but I'm still using majority synthetics and to be honest I think I hate that more than the idea of using animal fibres! Looooved the video and I love the pretty pink yarn! 😍
I am obsessed with how the mohair turned out, it's so fluffy and the pink one is definitely one pretty skeine 😁💖
