The only problem of a fixed blade for defense is that something similar to a weapon retention could happen. Taking that aside this is one the best designs. Good thing you live in a free country.
I have one of these; I find it much too thin to get what I consider a decent grip on, let alone a comfortable one (it's only 0.19" / 4mm wide) and my hands are average size. However it's also meant as a last ditch defensive item that I'll hopefully never have need to pull -- not made for any extended use. I just wish they'd made the grip a slight bit thicker. Still the advantage of the extreme thinness is it weighs nothing and even as a boot knife it feels like there's nothing there. First thing I did was replace the factory clip with an Ulticlip, and the second was to remove that extra bump of kydex blocking the ring: Basically just keep the top edge of the sheath straight across at a bit shallower angle and you'll be able to get your finger in easily while still keeping excellent retention. The factory version has a bit better retention, honestly a bit too much IMO, and at the cost of being very awkward to get your finger into. When speed counts and the adrenaline is pumping that's not a good thing. Maybe it's just me but I find quite a few factory kydex sheaths from many companies go overboard with the retention. I don't want it falling out when it's upside down or during strenuous activity, but I don't want it to be a difficult yank to release my knife either, which is what seems to be the default most times. Maybe for legal reasons?
I wish I would have one of these. Bro you picked the perfect krambit. Liked very much.👍
Benchmade mini Socp is amazing for shorts and sweatpants I want to get one of these and try the microtech

I dunno but I’ve got xl hands and I have zero complaints about the grip and feel. I was worried about this but I’m all good with this feel💪🏻
