For drop banners I think I would like to universally subdivide, not just on one axis mainly because of any wind Sims and surface deformations. Restraining the top and bottom with a pole so it prevents loose flapping 🤔 Issues with clipping on corners can be managed if non-planar shapes are nicely bevelled to replicate how physical forms would gradually shift. Noticed sim interactions can get really weird when they think an edge is infinitely sharp

Addons Add Curve: Extra Objects - already have it. Check the box in the settings
When I apply the cloth simulation it does not fall down like yours! Help
I tried following the tutorial again, it happens the same aim in Blender 4.2.1
