    dude. YG isn’t just a CEO but he is also a producer. and the last part was his idea and it turn out really well. just so you know

    YG isn't in the CEO position. He's the Chief Producer (it says it on the screen as you call him the CEO.) It's exactly his job to give his opinion on the song. Whether or not that's a good thing is debatable but it's not the title that puts him in a position where he shouldn't speak about the song.

      he has not been the ceo for more than 10 years.....his brother is the ceo. He is the founder but leave the management to others. Only the media still call him CEO

    YG is the chairman, not the CEO anymore and he is the executive producer of Baemon, if this will be good or bad just the future will tell.

    YG 100% made the song better in both the rap verse and especially the end chorus. Those other versions we heard, which were prolly the best of the rest, were pretty trash lets be honest. I get what you're saying, and I'd tend to agree, but the proof is in the pudding here. So it's not as cut and dry as YG coming in and running roughshod over everyone else. Also, the 3rd rapper absolutely worked here. The back and forth with Ruka and Ahyeon was great. Having 2 distinct styles, cadences and tones before Asa even comes in and spits? Nah, that was fire.

    The song you heard around 2 minutes in is Like That by BABYMONSTER. It's probably their best song and they're releasing a performance video of it sometime later this month... or maybe in June? The announcement was a little unclear if it was "before the end of this month" or "within a month's time".

    YG is the EXECUTIVE PRODUCER as it is written in the screen. Ever since YG has always the last say with all his artist songs. I think as an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER its just right he sees the overall production.

    Welcome back!! Your reactions were missed, one of the very few honest genuine reactors on youtube. Not against them having three rappers but with Asa being already phenomenal and so much far ahead than ahyeon, it just feels like ahyeon should stick to vocals, something she excels in, instead of rapping. But I think we all know they're trying to give her the Jennie image being able to rap sing and dance, but honestly don't know how much that'll work.

    They released the original rap with Chiquita on it at the very end of the latest announcement video on the YG Entertainment youtube page if you want to hear the full thing. It's not super long, but you do get to hear it better.

      I actually saw a short of it! The official rap is so much better imo

    • @xxprettylittlethings
      @xxprettylittlethings 2 месяца назад +2

      @@JaySungYT I think the official definitely suited the song more (that extra SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH, was just too much after going with a repetitive chorus), HOWEVER, I'd have preferred Chiquita to Ahyeon. Ahyeon's rap tone has a time and a place, but it can be kind of abrasive. I feel like Chiquita's tone MAY have been better.

    Funny thing about longer songs is that statistically they don't do as well beyond the 3 minute mark and in fact some of the iconic songs in the past have been songs in the 2 1/2 - 3 minute mark. There are a few exceptions to the rule but generally a 3 minute song are not only songs that become hits but get into that iconic status.
    BABYMONSTER's album is pretty diverse in comparison to past girl groups from YG. I think that with BABYMONSTER they are trying different things because most of the girls are really too young for a "girl crush" concept but I would rather them really look into more toward an R&B Hip Hop sound since they have the vocal talent for it.
    The thing about having that many rappers is that same thing as them having too many vocalist right now. Most people are really complaining that Rora doesn't get that much lines which they are right. In that respect, she is like the Jisoo of the group. The talent it there but they are not letting her shine. I think that is why YG during the LAST EVALUATION was saying that they wanted a smaller group between 4 - 5 members. They probably believed that until those last two months when they recorded the LAST EVALUATION. Plus I think that they also didn't want to spend too much so another larger group since that costs a lot just for travel, food and continued education. I would think that they wouldn't want to do any songs with 4 rappers unless it was broken up into two different verses. But then it would take away time from the vocalists. So you do have a point about it would be spreading it too thin. You want to see all the members have their time to shine in each song but that is really not possible if they put too much emphasis on one thing. They could do sub-group type songs like vocal line or rap line tracks to make the distribution of lines more even. But doing that you can easily lose the group's identity. Kind of tough balancing act because of the talent they have in the group.

    YG is no longer the CEO. He officially resigned in 2019. He became executive producer and now focus more on the production of the group. That’s y he oversees the group selection and debut process.
    And the Babymonster assign to work with team Choice as main producer for their debut. Same like Blackpink with Teddy previously.
