  • Art by women continues to be undervalued, as a study by researchers at the Luxembourg School of Finance revealed in 2017. In response to the under-representation of female artists, several institutions and galleries have organized women-only shows. While these exhibitions certainly allow for exposure and fill an art historical gap, do they have an actual impact on the market value of female artists? This panel aims to address this question by bringing together experts in the field. Have these shows impacted the prices of works by female artists? To what extend has the behavior of collectors towards female artists changed? And what else can be done to overcome the gender price gap?
