Thanks for sharing❤️, Yeah, I usually put on a flasher when it’s murky or I’m not getting bites. I have noticed more bites when I have a hoochie teaser on my line. I also use a simple slide hook line and it works well. We all have our confidence bait 😂. Half the time I wonder if the fish care 😂
I like the torpedo weight when I’m on the ocean side because it is less likely to get stuck in rocks if you troll over a reef area. In the bay , I don’t mind using a ball weight because it’s just clay and mud, the shape of the ball won’t get it stuck anywhere! Hope that helps
After last season I expected the Buts to be fished out. First there was no Salmon season then in shore was closed down. Most people were going after the Buts and doing very well too.

I have no luck with lines full of stuff on it, dodgers, hutchies, whatever. I always caught on a simple slide hook line.

Do you prefer the ball weight rather than a torpedo weight? Specifically in deep water?

Yeah, I think the emergency implementation of a 2 halibut limit helped. Let’s hope for a good season this year 🤙

@@runic112 yeah, I’m only successful getting bait on a sabiki in the bay in June. Anything before that is difficult! So cast netting is your best bet
