NWA did their thang but at the end of the day its just business never personal. Everybody knows you'll never meet a real killa unless its too late.
Behind every success story is always some disgruntled woman or man😂😂😂😂😂
EXACTLY 💯 💯 💯
i was 10yo when NWA came out we all knew Easy was the gangsta and the rest wasnt he aint saying shiz that we already know u lame asf
His truth is his truth
All through NWA early songs they always referred to Eazy as the criminal of the ruthless posse and Dre,Cube,Ren etc were just his cool homies that rhymed about and with him and being 18-19 in their hey day I was a fan of their music but I never thought of them as gangsters just guys like myself that grew up in an harsh environment and write rhymes about their surroundings and cube never claim to bang he only ever claim HardRhymer.
You don’t listen to the lyrics. Your still under the spell.
Gotta love and appreciate Alonzo. Great dude all around!

Nothing but truth. I became a grown ass man in my 30s and realized all these rap niggas were fake. Youth is pure illusion. The mindset of youth is so atrocious, because we don’t know any better at the time! And mature age lasts a hell of a lot longer than youth! That’s what they DON’T tell you!
At some point as a culture, we're gonna have to talk about all the black men that went to prison or were murdered in the streets off the messages and images they put out.
It was never the music, ppl who were in the life were gonna be in the life anyway. It's your surroundings in your neighborhood, not the music. The music is kinda like, a wrestlers theme music. It's used to get you hype to so what you were gonna do anyway.
@@cymonecarter9704 Nah bruh. I use to say that in the 90's and 00's too, I'm tired of running with that lie. I literally saw with my own two eyes, cats go from dancing in high top fades, silk button downs and dress pants - to starter jackets baggy jeans and talking about killing and selling dope, and it was the music and the videos. And you did too if you're old enough to remember. Like i said, one day we'll have this discussion as a culture.
@@truewilliams7118 they killing ppl, and selling dope in those silk button downs, and dress pants. That's the point they was doing it in the neighborhoods, before it was cool to rap about. So it wasn't the music that influenced the hoods. It was the hoods that influenced the music. You just got it backwards.
@@truewilliams7118You're right.
@@cymonecarter9704 You can't just gloss over the "before it was cool" part. There was a lot of street sh*t going on but there was also a lot of heathcliff huxtable and Midnight Starr stuff going on too, folks serious about education and being respectful. That's how it was in my house and we lived in the hood! It wasn't until about 91'-92 when everything started to shift toward EVERYBODY wanting to be thug/street. It was the music man, the movies played a role but it was mostly the music. We all know it but we ain't suppose to day it out loud.
I definitely respect Alonzo BUT if it was up to him west coast hip hop would be electro dance music and slow jams..even though it was just a gimmick I still appreciate NWA they had a lot of humor in their records which appealed to me as a kid
Because you like ignorance. NWA appeal to ignorant people.
They showed this well in their movie, they never showed or said themselves to be gangsters! Never! People took their image of a group of men from the streets, wearing dark clothes, cursing and rapping and said they’re being fake when they never claimed that, never claimed a set, if anything they always repped Compton! I don’t see them being afraid to be exposed as something their NOT😂
Why was Dre made when Easy-E was exposing him for being a fake gangster on Arsenio Hall and his music album?
Naw bro. Nwa rapped about shooting ppl and selling dope etc. They didn't claim a specific hood, but they definitely portrayed the image of a gangster. They were definitely acting like they were putting in work etc.

I laughed so hard when I seen Dre knock out a Piru in the Straight Outta Compton movie. But the same Dre that didn’t wanna show the women that he was beating on around the same time
I used to joke about how Dre was knocking out dudes in that movie, but in real life, he was really stomping broads. But I found out that Dre actually got shot in his leg whooping a dude's ass to defend Jewell. So apparently, Dre is an equal opportunity ass whooper. He just didn't give a damn. Lol
No the part that made me laugh is Eazy in the car crying looking at the chronic billboard
I always enjoy hearing Alonzo speak. Always has insightful things to say about what was going on in Cali before NWA hit it big.
i hate when people say that ice cube never claimed to be just because he rap hard
Lonzo mentioned afraid of guns lol I'm thinking that's dj yella he's talking about... I'm just wondering who didn't stick around for the tight situations smh
Cube said from day 1 along with all of NWA they were just street reporters on record. But some people hate to see you gettin paid talking about stuff you know nothing about except what you seen or heard especially real gangstas. Some real ones take it personal like a slap to the face and others love it and play it everyday bcuz it's the soundtrack to their life
@@xrated2k3that definitely had to be Yella you can tell that dude was never about no drama and seemed cowardly.Avoiding drama is definitely a wise thing but if they had a picture for acting light skin back in the day Yella would definitely be right in the frame lol😂😂 he's the only person you never even saw holding a gun all he cared about was hoes and then he started shooting pornos in real life

As if that matters now. THEY’RE RICH!!!

Exactly they will hate the truth and love the lie
What was fake about NWA? I knew at 17 in 1989 that they were hood dudes that were coming up in rap. Back then, I viewed all rappers as Hollywood. That doesn’t make you soft. There are a lot street gangsters that are quiet in jail.
Dre was not a hood dude…Yella was not a hood dude…so that is fake…but they still made classics…

That makes good sense. Facts. Well spoken!!!
Eazy - E definitely wasn't a "fake gangster". He was an actual member of the Kelly Park Hustlers (in Southeast Compton) which became the Kelly Park Compton Crips while Eazy was still a part of it, a few years before Eazy became famous. MC Ren was a member as well.
Eazy has a collection of over 100 guns from rifles to pistols BEFORE NWA.
It's the sands of time bro. Nobody remember Kelly park hustlers. People in the neighborhoods know, but the average young nigga? Nah.
He may have grouped Eazy in the dialog due to Easy being dead but I think he's speaking on who's alive that made their money off of the phenomenon of gangsta rap

Gang affiliated means “in a gang”. Think before you speak! 🤦🏽♀️

I grew up on a farm in Ohio and listened to NWA and never once did I think they were trying to be gangsters. Where did people even get that idea from? They never talked about gangbangin and never mentioned bloods or Crips. I think Eazy E did because he was really in the streets. But again, I never felt like they were trying to be gangsters. How many Costra Nostra or Colombian drug traffickers back in the day were making music trying to be musicians?
Zero, none because they stuck to what they did, being criminals..
Did anybody actually think NWA were actually in gangs or in the streets heavy?
No one in the streets, or in a gang(whether street or organized) has the time, dedication or passion to be recording music day in and day out..
NWA were what they were, hood guys who lived around gangs and banging and told the stories of what was around them and what they saw(some directly happening to them, like police brutality)...
But they were just first hand spectators to the life, never in it...
The people in it for real are either pushing up daisies or serving long stretches in the pen...

Here's a little somethin' bout a nigga like me
Never shoulda been let out the penitentiary
Ice Cube would like ta say
That I'm a crazy mothafucka from around the way
Since I was a youth, I smoked weed out
Now I'm the mutha fucka that ya read about
Takin' a life or two that's what the hell I do
You don't like how I'm livin well fuck you
This is a gang, and I'm in it
My man Dre'll fuck you up in a minute
With a right left, right left you toothless
And then you say goddamn they ruthless!
Everywhere we go they say (damn)
N W A's fuckin' up tha program
And then you realize we don't care
We don't just say no, we to busy sayin' yeah!
About drinkin'' straight out the eight bottle
Do I look like a mutha fuckin role model?
To a kid lookin' up ta me
Life ain't nothin' but bitches and money
'Cause I'm tha type o' nigga that's built ta last
If ya fuck wit me I'll put a foot in ya ass
See I don't give a fuck 'cause I keep bailin'
Yo, what the fuck are they yellin''
