@@adamfaulkner1616 the drop shot is key here. When I watched you play him this weekend, you were not doing the drop shots correctly. When we do a drop shot, you need to be close to the table and take it off the bounce with a slightly down motion block. This way the 2nd bounce will be on the table or just off the edge of the table. Very easy to practise mate. The way you did it was like a block and it is very easy for him to lob it back on.
@@jamesw7224 very different rubbers. 05 is an old rubber, softer sponge, bouncier and not much control. NUZN 50 is a modern hard rubber with very grippy top sheet. The control and feeling is incredible. Great rubber.
@@TTDPocketRocket absolute legend for the reply man, I've been using T05 on forehand and Andro r48 on backhand on viscaria blade for a awhile now and always been worried about changing away from t05. Might have to give these nuzn rubbers a try
Wonder if you could have switched him to forehand a bit more as he seemed to prefer lobbing with backhand and mayhe that would have made him move a bit more and forced errors. In and out side to side seems to be key against this style? As well as being ready to play 30 shots in a rally if needs be and not get impatient 😂.b
I'm a big fan of the lobbing style. Great to see it. I'm guessing most junior clubs don't have enough court space to teach this style, which is probably why we don't see it more often?
@@ayobarnee1 haha yeah the new moses. I think Chris could be so dangerous if he attacks more. At the moment he just lobs and relies on mistakes from his opponents.
Its exactly like watching Kanak Jha play, what a striking resemblance in playing style. Your forehand is also world class
Such an entertaining match. Loved the dropshots in the rallies, cool breaks of rhythm.
Wish I watched these tactics before I played Chris at the weekend!😂

7:13 is a good example of the drop shot. I take it very early off the bounce and going down on the ball slightly.

great game. well played pocket
yes I think ive heard it once or twice!!!
Interesting style for sure. Sidespin lobbing must catch a few people out
Great game, nice practice for your loop, pity about the chloe every point next door embarrassing 😳
Great game to watch 😃 What’s your favourite blade and rubbers set-up?
@@theospring6183 I use Andro equipment. Vci blade with NUZN 50 on both sides. Been playing with this for a few months, it's great!
@@TTDPocketRocket how would you compare the nuzn 50 rubbers to T05 ?

I've got a guy in my local league who plays this lobbing style. I hate playing against it so much. You need the patience of a saint to win
@@oxtt4314 the drop shot is key to win against this style. In the 3rd set, it was more comfortable for me as I did more drop shots.
@TTDPocketRocket thanks for the advice. I'll see if I can implement it into my next match against him.
