Super fun to see a bunch of comic and collectible shops in France. I too would want to find older books! The 8:06 shop looked the best, I could see myself dropping a fortune there lol Street vendor at 10:53 looked great. I have maybe 100-200 of those old Marvel French comics. Love them. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching. One issue I had was that I wished I had more time. Unfortunately the family was calling for their missing father to move on to further non-comic adventures. Regardless it is always fun to hunt for comics in a foreign country. Appreciate your support as always my friend and stay tuned.
I actually visited the first three shops in your video, way back in December 2021. I visited them in the same order you did. I even checked out the street vendors near Notre Dame. My experience was exactly like yours. 😂 I found the prices to be extremely high in all of those shops, and I didnt buy anything.
You bet 👍. Thank you! Appreciate you supporting the channel with all your comments. If you have a channel you would like me to support please let me know! Stay tuned!
Fun video Jerry. I always notice how clean foreign shops are. That last stop was amazing. Great Conan pick ups of course. Absolute beauties. #keepitcasual #fullwatch #growtogether
Fun video! Jer, you seem to like all of my favorite stuff. My faves are Batman, Hulk, Conan, Spider-Man, and things like Swamp Thing and Man-Thing. You always seem to be looking through those selections when you look for books, so I'm guessing we enjoy the same sorts of titles! Thanks for sharing this video--especially loved seeing progress on Notre Dame! You guys there for the Olympics?
Thank you Loston for watching and yes we both have similar interests in titles. I am home now so we missed the Olympics by a few weeks, but was nice to see the planning that was taking place. The city was nice and clean in anticipation. Appreciate you stopping by my friend and stay tuned.
I was going to suggest the vendors down by the Seine. They all open up those green boxes when the weather is good and I recall seeing tons of collectible paper items.
Great video - new subscriber - Allan from CCG recommended your channel and great! Yes: please visit the other shops and such in Paris. It’s always great to see what we find internationally. Appreciate the video. Enjoy your trip btw!
Still fun to see the selection, Jerry. That first store had the better selection perhaps than the others. Hope you’re enjoying your visit. Paris looks historic, lovely, and clean. Glad you went, Jerry.
Thank you Jerry. Being a collector of U.S. comic books overseas is tough. In Japan I could only find copper age at the oldest with the exception of one silver age WW just getting blasted by the sun through the window of a Jimbocho book shop. If I remember right they were asking about $300 for a VG- or so - maybe a $10 book in the U.S. When I Iived there Heritage would send me post cards of upcoming WWII auction books and I wondered what the postal workers thought when they saw them.
You have missed the best for your search of silver and golden ages with also original artboard : edition Déesse 8 rue cochin 75005 Paris, you were very close, if you are still there ☺️
Thank you for the information my friend. Unfortunately I am home in the USA. However I will definitely remember the information next I visit your wonderful country which I truly enjoyed! Stay tuned.
@@Joliaux76 what a pity I was there a few months ago but hadn't a clue of that shop I only saw the magazines stands with comic books and vintage magazines held on the peg lines they exhibit near the Siene river not far from the Eiffel Tower
@@starchild6347 Oh, I misunderstood. I don't know anything about those prizes in Sweden. On the other hand I usually just go to the equivalent of dollar bins. Most of what I am looking for is available from about 50 cents to 5 USD.

I'm curious what an average back issue in France goes for
A little higher than in the USA in light of the conversation rate.
Love rhe International Jitterbug Roadshow
Thank you CJ. It definitely was fun to produce. Stay tuned my friend.
Vive le comics! Is Flash called L'eclair? I thought that was a choux bun chocolate and cream cake!!
Hahahahaha. Thank you for watching Greyman. Next trip we are going to your neck of the woods.

That sucks that everything was overpriced. That seems the new norm these days.

What street in Paris is this comic book shop at?
Album Comics is boulevard saint germain, nerar Notre Dame, like mentioned in the video and most of them filmed here are around in a 500 m² perimeter.

Yes…it’s much more expensive to collect comics in Europe! I think you’ll find nearly everything more expensive!

Where in Europe? I think swedish comics are way cheaper than anything I see from the US.
@@peter2359 I’m talking about American Silver and Bronze Age books… about 25-30% more expensive in Europe. Certainly here in the UK.
