My wife and I were in the pit for this night - absolutely brilliant gig despite the atrocious weather conditions! The set list was great with surprises like “Light of Day”, “Waiting on a Sunny Day”, “She’s the One”, but this version of “Racing in the Street” was sublime and the music just swept over you like a wave to carry you off to a very special place. Awesome night out that everyone should experience imoh! 🎸🎷🎺🎻🎹
This used to be a staple of his concerts, l am glad he pulled it out for the fans at Sunderland . They deserved a really great concert for braving the most awful conditions! Love you Bruce for performing as if the evening was the nicest one could imagine.❤❤❤❤❤
I made a poster for Racing In The Street, held it high, with pride. I know it wasn’t the reason Bruce played it but couldn’t believe it when he did! Just tears! What a night. I think the best I’ve seen and there have been a few!

This song literally makes grown men cry, I was there and 2 sixty something men hugged each other and bawled their eyes out during this song, obviously meant a lot to them. Amazing night
You had this song and the weather. In Dublin we had sunshine (and horrendous queues to get in) but not this song - his best... Hopefully his voice recovers and his Wembley shows go ahead and he plays this at one of those

I was there- I guess as we were all so completely soaked it looks 'damp' but the crowd were fantastic - singing along was amazing - about the best of near 50 gigs...good old N English weather, and the Boss - as humble and god-like as always. Memorable, great gig.
Thanks for the upload Why. Would you take a toilet break or visit the bar. When Racing comes on ,the holy grail of any setlist this is only my second Racing in 50 shows ,it was very special roy was amazing best live version I've ever heard 🙌
I was there and blown away by this version, the concert was that good I forgot about it raining, I had to keep looking at the lighting rigs to see the rain falling
I was there, and as we watched them sweeping water off the stage, I said I wouldn't be surprised if this is cancelled. Although it would have been a massive disappointment, it would have been 1 gig to reschedule instead of 4, get well soon Bruce
I always wondered why Bruce ssummer tours start in the spring in the coldest places in Europe and finish in the warmest places instead of the other way around
