I agree and disagree too, I am myself in SRM just completed my first year, I'll only say one thing to freshers who are willing to come here, there could be contrasts there could be drastic changes but if you come here after just confining and making your mind related to problems of food and socially other things then definitely you'll have difficulty in adjusting and adapting! Just be free with mind , be confident, its not complex nor bad that you cannot happily adapt it !

Officially it’s not allowed (Warden would never allow) but you can do it.

Hostels are good if are having 1 or 2 sharing room... hostels are available upto 6 sharing. Hostel food is mid and there is no ragging in this college. And yes college demands semester exam fees around 3000rs.
SRM KTR ( 2 nd year student)
And yes peak hrs mai like 7:30am to 8:30 AM and 11:30 to 1PM lifts are usually full...you can either get in the line of the lift or go through stairs
About bathrooms single and double sharing rooms have bathrooms other wise you gotta use the common washroom in your floor
And bathroom are cleaned everyday

Bro if you want Adhiyaman Hostel (best hostel for 1st year). you would have to book it in 20 seconds or else you won’t get it. Just book ANY room ASAP when the portal for the hostel booking opens. Sit there before 20 mins for the hostel booking and keep refreshing if you want a good hostel.
What about the weather there?
August to October usually rains... November December are like 25 to 30C and from march summer starts here and goes upto june. It's definitely hot but the good thing is there's no heat waves here..so no need to cover your face kr ears.
What happens on inauguration. At which date I have to move to hostel
On day of enrolment (that would be from 1st August), you can move to hostel. Inauguration is basically a very boring 1st Year college Assembly at Hall.

@@rishulol can you suggest best floor and room number in adyaman. And what all documents needed for enrollment
@@ViperClone bro I would suggest 5th or above 5th floor. Personally I took 5th floor so that even if I couldn’t use LIFT in any case, stairs would still be an option. And that really worked well. There would be many times when lift would be full SO I would seriously suggest you go for the 5th FLOOR or 6th Floor.
Rest it’s up to you.
Coming up to ROOM number, I would suggest you to opt for 3 Sharing (if you want some personal space)(4 sharing won’t be a good option in longer run).
PLEASE AVOID these Rooms: X21 to X28
(X could be any number… for eg if you’re choosing 5th floor, then one of the room number could be 621 bla bla
If you’re choosing 6th floor then it could be 721 723 bla bla)
Just don’t choose X21 to X28 or else you won’t get any good NETWORK (very serious problem)
I was in 621 so I’ve suffered so much network issues.

@@Ligv-ew1tl in 2022, it was 10.5L, in 2023, it was 7.5L, this year it’ again 7.5L. Bro you also have to consider one fact that MANY students here goes to Foreign for further studies. So coding environment is really poor here.
