- Josh Lloyd looks at the NBA Fantasy Basketball players that are DO NOT DRAFT players. Of course, it's all within reason, based on rankings and team needs, but he looks at players for Yahoo and ESPN category leagues, as well as Yahoo and ESPN points leagues, and who is a bad pick in each of the first 10 rounds of your fantasy basketball draft.
He won't draft Joel Embiid in round one, nor will he consider Buddy Hield near where ESPN has him positioned.

I picked up Grayson in round 13 to boost 3PM, FT% and decent RAS stats. I think that's the place to pick him this year. Beal is not the bastion of health, so I view Grayson as a back up with upside who will at least play 24~25 minutes, although his recent achilles soreness has me nervous.
Jrue Holiday fell all the way down to like pick 120 in a draft I had the other day, I almost selected him but I needed to get Josh Hart.... It's likely he has a lot less usage just like last year but will still bring those assists and defensive stats giving him some value in certain punts. Like punt pts...
Got the 10th & 11th of a new H2H Points keeper league any advice? Was planning on grabbing best available guy that drops but not sure how much to weigh in the keeper value

What needs to occur on Yahoo and ESPN and any draft site is for them to have an ADP for points leagues and a separate ADP for category leagues and then another separate ADP for Roto leagues... The complicated part about that is how do you delineate that with how many mock drafts there are? It's really quite complicated but I'm sure someone could figure it out?

Josh you don't suck !!! You and I feel very closely about many players this year , I won almost every league i've played in two years in a row . Made a super league of the most talented I played in the last few years it's going to be bananas. Won't win that with 9 other sharks.
I went Paolo round 4 in my 12 team cat. I'd argue I probably should have reached for a big since I was guard heavy and we did a 3rd round reversal. My hope for him is he has an All Star Randle type season with less turnovers. But that's me getting high on hopium.

I took Markannen at 37 but I’m in a 6 team auction so he was my 6th pick behind Wemby, Trae, Sengun, Morant and Cade. So I’m not as concerned about it

On totals he is about 25th. On avrg he is late third early fourth round

I think you are wrong on Sheppard... Even in a limited mins role the dude has talent and his talent will win out. If there is one guy with unbelievable upside its reed sheppard. He could be a 2nd rounder next year...also trades may happen... Same reason we roster okongwu and Clingan and various others that are a few injuries or trades away from big upside... I know you wont reassess but just had to chime in... Sheppard will be thenwaiver wire add of the year... He might not be "super special" right away but eventually his skills will just shine and playing time increase... Talent wins out... Guess time will tell on what happens!! :)

He has done auctions in prior years and this year, what’s your question? Best you can do is basketball monster and edit your settings to match your league
Importantly, yahoo average prices are what many follow for the first half and your own league settings affect price, number of teams and players and budget, usually best to not overspend too much too early
@mrsoap4074 That's the thing, I have gone balanced, but at the end I see the projections and I'm not quite at the top, I may end up in the standings, but that's ROTO like. When I match up head to head with the teams that went hard at the beginning I lose 5-4, and sometimes 3-6. It's like Josh's point of drop-off from 1 to 10, and then 20 to 50. The $50-35 players accumulate so much, that when you pair them with a $3-2 player you are still ahead of the team that went with two $20-15 players.

man i keep going back and forth on edwards. i’ve got the 9th pick in a 10 team espn points league and i’ve been planning on edwards and brunson/young with my first two. but josh keeps persuading me otherwise. my league is full of guys who aren’t super fantasy-sharp, and will likely just draft off of projected rankings (giving me some gnarly picks essentially for free) and with that in mind, am i really screwed with edwards? is there a pick at 9th that is just straight up better that i’m missing?
edwards isnt worth it at 9th or 12th pick for points league, if hes still there in the 3rd round then i would take him

@@rushhour4972 yeah, take that. Herro is injury prone and they have a bunch of guys who play similarly, Markkanen is a shutdown risk in the playoffs. You get Chet and Herb thats fine, changes you into a punt points team, but secures your defensive stats

By the way the Nba is the most asinine organization out there. The single biggest issue with the nba and why its'practivally unwatchable is stars resting. So what do they do: 1.Add a play in tourney, 2, Add an in season tourney (meaningless champ game), 3, Extend the all star break 4. Stick with the yawn fest best fo 7 first round. Getting rid of those would eliminate 7 back to backs. If not for fantasy, I'd literally watch zero nba games.
