Those of us who were alive when Lisa Marie was born and watched/listened to her over the years felt a very real sense of loss when she passed. Lisa started crying when recording this, but she said she felt at peace and a closeness with her dad singing along with him. Lisa died a short time after celebrating the success of the Baz Lerman's movie Elvis. Lisa Marie never got over the death of her beloved son, Benjamin, by suicide. Elvis never really got over the death of his beloved mother, Gladys, while he was in the Army. I think that haunted him for the rest of his short life .very, very sad.😥

Lisa Marie had a lot of issues growing up & tragically ended up having the same prescription meds addiction like her father. Her son, Benjamin took his own life when he was 27, & she never got over that. She died recently of a cardiac arrest due to post-op complications. She was 54. Elvis’ beloved mother died when he was 22. His mother was just 46 years old & she died of a heart attack, & his identical twin brother was stillborn. So much tragedy in that family.
