We’re still watching. Thanks 😊
Thank you for sharing your knowlege!
Maybe you can find the time to show us how to play If I had a Hammer?
I know you did these Seeger videos a decade ago but they are still so instructive here in 2023 I hope you leave them on your channel indefinitely. They can make a Seeger style player out of anyone, including a beginner at banjo. They did me.
I'm glad they have staying power! Thanks for your kind words.
Thank you for your work Colin!
Hi Colin,
I don't know if you still teach banjo on YT, but I was wondering that, if you still do, have you ever thought of doing a "This Land Is Your Land" seeger style tutorial, but show on video how to play it note by note? I would definitely be interested, because it is so much easier to learn it with someone showing how to do it.
Anyhow, thanks for the videos you already uploaded. They have been a help so far!
Thanks Colin- can understand your teaching, you break it down well-like the Seegar style
Love it! Beautiful video and lesson, thanks so much!!
I love your playing it's awesome
Thanks!
please just post a solo version of this. it's amazing.
I am playing solo. Do you mean without the lesson parts?
@@ColinBazsali yes, it's i kept listening to it over and over.
Colin, fantastic style. Looks like you're playing a long-neck banjo with extra frets above the 5th string tuning peg. What kind is it? Thanks, John
It’s a Gibson RB-175 ca. 1962. Pete Seeger invented the long neck banjo and popularized it.
Thanks Colin at least now I seem to be getting a tune out of this Bango. Finally! Thanks Again Great Tuition.
Are you playing 2 finger index lead, Clawhammer ? I noice in a lot Of your videos you up-pick with the index finger to get the melody
In this video, I'm playing Seeger-style, where you up-pick with your index finger on the downbeat, brush down with your middle finger on the upbeat, and pick the 5th string with your thumb.
Nicely done!
Thanks for the turn on to Feynman btw:)
I'm pretty sure the fantastic Mr. Fox sound track has a banjo playing in this style have you heard of that or tried playing that before?
I'm not familiar with that soundtrack, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Hi, Colin. I don't know if you're still teaching Seeger-style banjo, but you do a great job. I've been playing banjo for years but never got the hang of Seeger style until I came upon your videos. I've got a Deering Special with a tone ring. I took off the resonator and tightened up the coordinator rod and it sounds good. Thanks for all your efforts.
Thanks for your kind words! I’m glad these videos have been a help to you. Keep on!
Hi Colin noticed you have the Comments turned off on your live vid today
Thank you! I have to remember to change that.
@@ColinBazsali That tune is that in G or Cc chord the way you played it, I've watched most of the tunes you played I'm having a bit of trouble getting 500 miles figured out, I play claw hammer too., I can watch fingers and remember most times but I think the visual wasn't the best on that one vid I really like your versions
@@GarnettM If you're asking about that Live Test Video, it was in G modal, gDGCD. Just a verse or two of "Little Sadie".
@@ColinBazsali Good I want to try it Thanks Colin.
Thanks!
can you share the tabs?
