This is a lesson I learned with the Total War games : the game may be good, but the mods will just be awesome ! The work made by the Roma Surrectum team is incredible, and so is the work made by naxzul666 on all his videos, you got my respect ! (sorry for my english, btw)
Who ever made this must've worked ages on this mod ! Extremely talented team ! Imagine what they could achieve with more funds . The Creative assembly needs to work with these artists and historians and make Rome Total War 2 ! An Ultimate game . They don't have to worry about the sales . It will sell . TW has a huge community
@Pavell54 After the release of the mod, I think there will be a translation of the texts will be made by the Francophone community. My English is not very good too, but "to do with ..."! ;)
@Almin192 In general, it is advisable to make a copy of your game vanilla before installing a mod. You will have all the necessary information of the mod on the forum TWC "RSII" when it comes out. ;)
@MrDeano324 Management icon in windows small surprise in store for us from time to time. It may be that you have downloaded an application that modifies the allocation of the default icon. Perhaps by reinstalling the mod, things should be back as before ...?! Otherwise, you can always ask the question on the topic "SOII Technical Help" on the forum Total War Center.
I would definitely say to give this mod a try, it's 10 times larger than darthmod and it's very well balanced for a mod, in terms of differences RS has a HUGE unit roster that's scarily historically accurate with pretty mind blowing detail going into each unit, for example all 22 Roman legions have been individually designed and are different from each other. Trust me i've spent a lot of time around mods and this is the biggest and best one iv'e seen by miles
@naxzul666 I wish there was a way to have them both. I was thinking installing fresh copy of RTW in separate directory. That way I might be able to have SPQR and RS 2. Thanks for your response.
This mod really is incredible. The depth and detail to it is great. My only problem is that it crashes too often. Any ideas how to make it more stable? I'm on Windows 8 so perhaps compatibility mode for a different version?
@sano0311 SPQR is a mod quality with excellent graphics. RS2 this is what is best in this genre, but I could not give thee my opinion about the level of AI or the differences between these two mods in campaign mode. I have more time to play campaigns with Total War. For RS2, the battles are longer and more difficult to win.

Maybe it's your camera angles But this looks really smooth for RTW, I thought it was Medi II TW and I was like "aww crap" because I can barely run that game(cant even fight sieges, let alone battles, have to autoplay)
this is incredible... my only thing is that... the AI dosn't look like there fighting... i don't know... In rome total war 2, i'd really like them to revamp the fighting, between units.
It's unchanged as far as i'm aware it's core programming so its illegal for them to change it without permission, it is one of the bad points in that the AI was poor in the original game so this has to really be played on the hardest difficulties to be a proper challenge, that said the units in game are well balanced so there aren't any issues with certain AI sides being overpowered
lets be honest here, they sholdnt make a rome total war 2, i tihnk roma surrectum has already done that job. the only thing the creators could do is update the graphics. even if they bought out a rtw2 i doubt it would be better than this. the only people who want a rome total war 2 are the people who know sod all bout history lol
Great stuff...but the thing takes way to looooooooooooooooooong to come...Rome engine is totally outdated by now and graphics even for mediocre games are lightyears ahead of the Rome engine...not to mention that the maximum amount of men per army and unit has hardcoded limits which are far under the possibilitys of modern hardware which is such a pity...

@Vend1cator91 You need to have a version "clean" of RTW 1.5 or BI (1.6) or Alx (1.9).
If CA makes rome 2 with this gamplay + extra this would be a DREAM GAME!
