Not a criticism at all as the character creation process is very involved, and I really appreciated the walkthrough. Just wanted to point out for the benefit of any new Travellers that come across this video that when mustering out, the bonus isn't added to the roll. A Traveller gets one Benefit roll for every full term served in that career. You also get extra Benefit rolls if you reached a high rank. As shown in the Benefits of Rank table.
The flowchat is misleading. You don't need to roll for admission at the start of each term if you're staying in the same career. See the notes on p20 about when you do need to roll.
when you get promoted you get to roll for another skill. You also don't re-qualify if you're staying in that career in the same branch.

You are correct! 👍
And you should do it at the end of the career, since you can get a bonus to stats and that may let you succeed in rolls that you could otherwise fail.

The tactics isn't a bust. Since there are two subskills for tactics, you could take a rank in the other one.
This is a very interesting and involved character creation process. Would you ever consider running this, Boss?
Anyways, great video! :D
If I wasn't attached to Star Wars atm, I would definitely run this.
35:04 2 extra rolls, not +2 to one roll. quite a few mistakes
You choose a skill specialty at rank 1.
