Melling is brilliant, especially playing eight ball (what we call eight ball in America) and on those small tables. His shot making and cue ball control - along with incredible creativity - makes him a joy to watch.
Chris is by far the most exciting player to watch. Even when he's not super attacking, it's still good entertainment seeing what safety he has in mind. He seems to only be getting better with age.😅
In my opinion (as an ex-county player myself) there’s no better all round player to watch than Chris Melling. The positional play, shot making, getting himself out of trouble and his potting ability are all exceptional.

Obviously amazing players and great performances but I'm surprised how at 5-3 down playing the last yellow to the top right, that shot of melling's went in. It seemed to hit the cushion really far up. Are they generous pockets or is it just that the yellow being at an acute enough angle from the pocket there was enough margin for error?
It's the standard size for English pool tables. 6 feet x 3 feet, although you can get on occasion get 7 feet x 4 feet. Also the pocket shape is different to US pool tables. And lastly, English cue balls are the only cue ball, where it is smaller then the object balls (reds/yellows).
What is with this rule that an 8 ball on the break doesn't let you keep playing? Surely any pot should count for the breaker and they should get to play after the respot? It's harder to pot the 8 than any other ball on the break after all
The 2nd match I've seen where Melling wins because his opponent just gets ungodly unlucky on the break. Melling is obviously an amazing player but what is this luck he has? He actually breaks worse but always manages to get a ball down
8 ball down off the break should be a re rack and loss of turn 🤷♂️ Pot the black it’s a foul Pot the white it’s a foul same thing I can see why they’ve done it Otherwise it would be a loss if you pot the black 🤷♂️ perhaps that would slow the game down too much as guys wouldn’t break as hard These guys are pretty decent tho I think they could handle a cluster of balls like snooker players do
Couldn't have gone to a more deserving player! Well done Chris Melling! #GOAT
The best game I’ve ever watched.

It’s mad how good these guys are! League players like me just think how do you get this good! Congratulations CM well deserved 🎉
I'm a Wednesday league player and correct, it's mental to think that they are this good. Cracking match.
Sheer class as always from both players

Proper pool congratulations for a fantastic game 👏👏👏👏👏
Well done Chris mate 👏👏👏. Played awesome all series
Neither player deserved to lose this match. That was some beautiful pool.
Well deserved played excellent awesome
outstanding pool.
don't like the 15 sec shot clock though. turns the beautiful game into a bit of a circus
Shot clock is needed and makes the game move along faster. You can debate the amount of time, but shot clocks are needed.

Melling with a come back and took it… my guy
28:50 was probs my favourite shot. he hit that so clean, jeSus
JusT a wonderfull shot from the magician ❤❤
The 8 not counting as a pocketed ball on the break is a bad rule!!
🤷♂️
No need to shout
That rule was interesting but shame they abandoned it
I like it.
Better than losing the frame if the black is pitted on the break, like it was under old EPA rules
One of the best games I’ve seen on ultimate pool. Thompson was unlucky that a few dry breaks were the only thing between them. Quality pool from both
congrats to The Magician Chris Melling
Where can I download the match clock timer and shot clock being used in these matches
What type of camera are these games shot on, it's so clear?
Melling the GOAT
Is it the smart rack leaving the 3 lines around the rack? Looks like it would damage the cloth pretty quick

Unstoppable
Melling magic

Where are Chris Carbon Cues? Anybody knows?
They all use snooker cues on the small table👍
@@andrewhoeft2710 there was a presentation were chris was showing his carbon cues from cuetec for english 8ball and chinese 8ball. Search the Video.

Uncle Fester had some tough luck!!
how much did he win for that ?
£10000 for the winner and £4000 for the runner up.
@@JohnOConnor65Nice work if you can get it.
He consolidated himself with double pie 🥧 and chips.
👍
