Not sure if this is true. For reference look at Meg's second failed marriage where it just sounds like she had mental health issues that got between the union succeeding without animus. That is likely the culprit here. Jack has even admitted that Meg has always been extremely reserved which can be difficult for clear communication in any relationship. It's almost a miracle they were able to keep it going for as long as they did (as a band) based on Jack's description of how regular their communication was and how it always was more of a chore for him to get her involved. This is not a criticism of her but, just a recognition of what she's like. Clearly, people love her (and him).
Fun side note: While Jack was an upholster, he secretly put his first album in furniture. About 100 of them. They have never been recovered. Edit: Two copies _have_ been found. Both in 2014.
