Put it in the basement for safekeeping. It's a tool, just like a drill press. Learning the basics on it (sewing a straight hem, for example) is not a bad thing for EVERYONE in the house. OMG, "Chance of Hot Mess" "Grab me two D's" LOLOLOL. I can see the new rack moving to the left a bit, so that he can access the lego "begs" easier. Right now, it's blocking access to the bags a bit. He did SUCH a great job of being ok with passing things along. You should both be really proud in how that closet looks!
I have light and shorter eyelashes and apply L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Base Mascara Primer, then whatever Mascara you normally use. I use L'Oreal. My lashes look much longer and thicker! Great job decluttering! I applaud you keeping your kids off camera!

I must say I really love your videos! I got my mum to declutter her clothes. For a hoarder, she got rid of 2 trash bags of clothes that will be donated ( one is supermassive) and I just want to sya how proud I am of her letting things go.

Seriously though, the closet turned out great and so organised. I would sell the sewing machine as I know many people collect vintage machines. Don’t let sentimentality over it being Ian’s grandmothers let it sit in the closet gathering dust. These items were made to be functional and someone will love making quilts, blouses or dresses with it! As for the old chest freezer in the mud room, that should go the way of the old washing machine to the dump, unless it’s fully working. If it is then give it away or donate it. You’ll have so much more space in there when you do. I think you’ll feel better about that space once it’s gone.

I donated one of two sewing machines to my kids school for their art program. The teacher was very happy to have it (tears) and I was very happy to get it out of the house. 😅

I finally figured it out, he was speaking English 😅 It took me just about 42 years to figure it out.🙈 I don't even know why I didn't realize sooner, because this boy wasn't just named Shawn, which was not common in Norway back then, and he also had brown skin and dark curly hair, so that might have given it away, but no, I didn't realize until I saw that label in your son's closet, so thank you Danni 😂
You should set up some shelves on his bedroom walls for Lucas to display his completed Lego projects. It may help him to visually see just how much he has. Great job on the progress with decluttering the kids closets! Don't keep a sewing machine you won't use, give it to someone else to love. It doesn't matter who it used to belong to.

Great transformation on the closet!! I know Lucas is happy! He knows just where to find things now! Sentimental things are hard but I’d donate the sewing machine. I’m a quilter and can tell you that I often see new machines on the marketplace which may have newer features that you’d perhaps one day prefer if you decided to sew. Believe me, I hang onto my fair share of things but I’m slowly but surely releasing my grip on sentimental things that I don’t need. ❤ I’m decluttering every closet, every drawer around here and have a huge pile for Salvation Army to pick up tomorrow! 🎉 So happy about that! Another organization idea for the sports balls, etc is a tall upright white trash type container that they're all in and would allow for him to have easy access.

But after the new year I shred my paperwork. Love that I don’t have lots of paper clutter. In fact, it’s time to do the old tax reports. I did them awhile ago but I might have a few years to get rid of. I only keep the last seven yrs and this year and last are on computer. Love paperless! Great to see you, my friend! In my daughter’s room I bought ball display mounts for her basketballs. It’s a rod with a circle that you screw into the wall. It then makes a display with the balls and they will not roll off and are easy access. I got mine off Amazon. You could even put them right in his closet. Side note I’ve been thinking about your bedroom redo and wondered if you ever thought to put your bed in your closet. Provided it would fit between the opening. The little extra where the closet goes past the door opening could provide a spot for a small side table/shelf on each side of the bed. I think it might open up more space in your room and you could mount your tv next to the window closest to your bathroom door. Been trying to find a way to explain that out for a while now lol. Hopefully it made sense. PS I have a family full of people who will say yes to anything free😝 Thank you for another great video.

Hey, just an idea for the basketballs etc, I don't know, if you have these things in the USA, but in Germany we have these nets were you can store big sportsballs like footballs oder basketballs. I don't know how to explain it better xD

I've been watching you for a couple of years now, and when you said 'you don't have room in your cupboard' - well yeah you do but you have a massive TV in there 😆 is there any way of you moving the the TV out into another room or getting rid of it completely? One of my two best tipps: have a limit of how much space something has in my home. Maybe it is one drawer or 5. Being very strict helped me a lot. Also realising what needs more space, can help a lot, because you create a home for things! And second: start with what to KEEP, and see what is left. Do you really need what is left?!?!?!

Or you can sell it. We are selling our old washer, it hasn't sold yet, but we're hoping when people get their tax return we might sell it then. I'm doing the exact same thing, any extra cash we can put to the side we're throwing into the house. I could sell the sewing machine, it might actually be worth something, its really nice but i'll never use it :( The basement is taking forever, im being very particular onthat basement LOL I have most everything needed to complete it, except for a few other things, It'll be ready after the series, im really pumped about it. And Im in shock, lol that organizing shelf I put in Zoeys closet is actually working, she loves her closet and it staying not just picked up but organized as well. Its so nice. Ask members of the family if they are interested in the sewing machine this way it stays in the family. Why do you always buy these ridiculous organization pieces? Buy something that is basic and has less pieces. You could have added wire shelving to the closet and then there would be a place for everything-this large closet is not being utilized properly. a wooden shoe rack would better than that contraption. Omg great work, but I think you need shelving that is permanent in the closet. Great work

In my daughter’s room I bought ball display mounts for her basketballs. It’s a rod with a circle that you screw into the wall. It then makes a display with the balls and they will not roll off and are easy access. I got mine off Amazon. You could even put them right in his closet.
Side note I’ve been thinking about your bedroom redo and wondered if you ever thought to put your bed in your closet. Provided it would fit between the opening. The little extra where the closet goes past the door opening could provide a spot for a small side table/shelf on each side of the bed. I think it might open up more space in your room and you could mount your tv next to the window closest to your bathroom door.
Been trying to find a way to explain that out for a while now lol. Hopefully it made sense.
PS I have a family full of people who will say yes to anything free😝

Hey, just an idea for the basketballs etc, I don't know, if you have these things in the USA, but in Germany we have these nets were you can store big sportsballs like footballs oder basketballs. I don't know how to explain it better xD

Come to think of it, I probably should move his sports stuff in the mudroom or something, but I'd like to use something like a net to store them. I've been watching you for a couple of years now, and when you said 'you don't have room in your cupboard' - well yeah you do but you have a massive TV in there 😆 is there any way of you moving the the TV out into another room or getting rid of it completely? One of my two best tipps: have a limit of how much space something has in my home. Maybe it is one drawer or 5. Being very strict helped me a lot. Also realising what needs more space, can help a lot, because you create a home for things! And second: start with what to KEEP, and see what is left. Do you really need what is left?!?!?!
Hey girl, wow your son's closet looks great!! Great job Danielle. On the sewing machine, if anyone in the family like nieces or aunts if they sew, you could give them the sewing machine. Or you can sell it. We are selling our old washer, it hasn't sold yet, but we're hoping when people get their tax return we might sell it then. I'm doing the exact same thing, any extra cash we can put to the side we're throwing into the house. I could sell the sewing machine, it might actually be worth something, its really nice but i'll never use it :( The basement is taking forever, im being very particular onthat basement LOL I have most everything needed to complete it, except for a few other things, It'll be ready after the series, im really pumped about it. And Im in shock, lol that organizing shelf I put in Zoeys closet is actually working, she loves her closet and it staying not just picked up but organized as well. Its so nice. Ask members of the family if they are interested in the sewing machine this way it stays in the family. Why do you always buy these ridiculous organization pieces? Buy something that is basic and has less pieces. You could have added wire shelving to the closet and then there would be a place for everything-this large closet is not being utilized properly. a wooden shoe rack would better than that contraption. Omg great work, but I think you need shelving that is permanent in the closet. Great work
