And talking about picking and choosing what doctrines to believe, the council of trent says communion on the hand is an apostolic tradition and paul says to stand firm and hold fast to the traditions taught by us either by word of mouth or by letter. And in novas ordo they don't even value confession as much only scheduled twice during a weekday whereas in Latin mass places they offer it before Sunday every time. And some have scheduled even half hour after mass. Because people fall especially if in habitual sin confession needs to be readily available yet in novas ordo you have to ask the priest on Sunday to hear confession it's annoying when in these latin mass places they have it readily available.

And I think it's an overgeneralization to say that you cannot find Churches where they do not have confessions readily available. I know several Churches that always have Confession before and after Mass, both on Sundays and during the weekday. Also, be kind to priests. Many of them are juggling 2-4 parishes at a time so I would understand if they cannot always spend 2 hours in confession. Priests who are delegated to say the Latin Rite Masses are typically serving in their respective parishes so they aren't pulled here and there as much. Let's just keep things in perspective.

Religious communities have always relied on the charitable donations of benefactors. It helps them give all their time to works of charity, like teaching, helping the priests, etc. If they had to make jam and cookies, they couldn't teach the kids or help the priests and the many other things they do to serve the Church.
