@lunabaphometwell the base game is only $15 dollars when you consider ya can get the infernal edition with new dlc for $39.99 total so that’s actually not bad for d2 resurrected with the new warlock class especially for those who don’t already have it….
@lunabaphometI always said I’d pay for extra content and even quality of life changes. If you want them to add more content, be willing to put out a little extra cash.
This game doesn’t really make blizzard money anymore, so of course they wouldn’t put the resources into it to add things(even if WE consider it small things) if they can’t show profit for it.

Amusingly enough, the Warlock fits in nicely with the lore of Diablo. Because the Vizjerei clan of mages have been practicing the arts of summoning and binding demons for ages. It doesn't always end well for them, but the Warlock is what it looks like when it doesn't go horribly wrong

I'm pretty sure the whole "binding a demon into service" thing is shown to NEVER work in diablo, as far as I can guess; it's only working out "for now". of all the heroes from previous games with revealed fates, this Warlock's better be the most horrible. by the time we get D3R. Maybe make a Unique item that is an item made of his flesh and bones, still sentient, still screaming.

No switch 2 upgrade?
$25 seems alot just for one class, some qol changes, and one end game mode. There is no end to Blizz greed.
Since it doesn't mention directly and I assumed incorrectly, the QoL features with the Stash and the Loot Filter are tied of the upgrade. Base D2:R players do not have access to the new stash tabs or the loot filter without buying the upgrade.

It would be really nice if they added a couple of new locations and at least one new act.
And ideally, the ability to combine two classes. I love playing as a necromancer, and it would be interesting to combine it with a new class. But this is purely subjective, coming from a Grim Dawn fan, so I understand the mechanics are different and all those things... just thinking out loud.
But yeah, it's good that Diablo is still alive. And it's good that it's on Steam now.
It would be nice to see other Diablos on Steam too.
Played D2 like a madman at the time, but i think Grim Dawn improves char creation 100x what we could do in Diablo 2. And if i were to start a new game would be in Grim Dawn.

I really like the trend of new DLCs for old games, but it's quite rare. From what I remember, there's a DLC for the Age of Mythology with a new faction, a DLC with additional commanders for DoW 2 Retribution, and rumors suggest some DLC for The Witcher 3. I'd like to see more of that.

Release this update while also allowing us to mod the game finally and you will have an ARPG that rivals PoE.
You could always mod it. There just hasn't been a mod group/team that picked up steam and created anything major, but plenty of smaller mods exist. Sometimes someone posts a sizeable D2R mod project, then vanishes off the face of the internet after like 1-2 updates (which is kinda the norm for large mod projects in general in gaming).
Fun fact: If you look at the GDC technical presentation for D2: Resurrected, you will find a slide talking about how the engine was specifically designed to be moddable. It's the fault of the community rather than blizzard in this specific case, although documentation is always nice to foster mods.
