You picked up that T-56 out of the box! You're a BEAST man. Great to see the car on the road again. I don't know if it's the RPM or external mic, but we can hear you much better now too.
I did the t56 Magnum xl on my supercharged 13 gt, I also have the rev hang. I haven't had the tune revised yet, it's annoying. I got the 2.97 ratio, now thinking of going from the 3.31 to 4.10.
Speedometer wires are only 2 on those Tremec T56 / TR6060. And both MT82 and TR 3160 are using 3 wires with a return wire included. I wonder if that return wire is grounded to the body will still allow me to see the proper function of speedometer on a cluster after the swap with T56 or TR6060.
The speedometer on an S550 does not use the signal from the speed sensor. It uses the wheel sensors. I'm not sure how you'd wire in the speed sensor without the Bowler harness.
So good to see the car on the road! Can’t wait for those break in miles to get done! Daily drive that street car brother and it’ll go quick!!! 🍻 to you for a hell of a job!
Glad your happy with it...It would suck to do all that work then not like the results. It is weird the clutch is lighter than the original, probably a good thing for driving in traffic.
So far so good. More seat time will tell the tale. I can't give an honest review with the few miles I've driven, but definitely plan to once I've spent more time with the car. I'm also hoping to weigh the car again this weekend to see if we've gained or lost.
Im planning on doing a T-56 xl swap on my son's 2017 Mustang GT pp. I was gonna use the Lethal performance conversion kit. Just curious did you measure air gap from slave cylinder & did you need shimms? Also did you happen to measure runout in the belhousing? Your car is the closest to mine on these videos so far. These new cars confuse me with everything's im supposed to do.
No shims necessary for the slave cylinder. Here's my clutch install video. ruclips.net/video/Y5zTTOBtBmk/видео.html I did not measure runout of the bell. A lot of guys have, but the Tremec instructions actually say you don't need to if everything is as it came from the factory. To be absolutely safe, it's a good idea to do so.
Trans, crossmember, shifter (which all come together), driveshaft, clutch, Bowler harness to make the electrical part easy and some type boot to seal off the shifter from underneath the car.
@@BackyardBMX73 so when I buy trans it will coke with shifter and crossmember all I would need to buy separately would be driveshaft clutch and the bowler harness
That's correct. If you have an aftermarket clutch already, you may be able to get the friction disc change to 26 spline. That would save you from having to buy a clutch.
@@BackyardBMX73 no I’m all stock rn ik these transmission weren’t worth shit so I just wanted it to give me issues before I swapped it out I didn’t wanna buy anything I’d have to change later
On average, you'll spend around $5-6k for parts. It can vary depending on which clutch and driveshaft you choose. You may be able to go with an all inclusive kit. JPC sells a complete package.
Please take more video of your exhaust. Just point a camera at it and let it idle all day. That's why people search for t56 videos after all, the exhaust
I've never been more excited to get ads on a video! So well deserved brother! 💰
Thank you, bro! You had a part in that!🤘
That's exciting! Step child is as loud as mine now. Crazy loud!!
Definitely!🤘🤘🤘
WOW 😳 Nice job. It sounds so good. Your patience and hard work paid off. Happy for you. 😊
Thank you, miss Kelly!
I dont know if I'm more jealous of the car or the sunny weather lol. Car is sounding and running awesome. Can't wait to see it on the strip.
Haha, I hear that! Can't wait to get her to the track! Hopefully some drive time tomorrow!
Car so damn good !!! Project Step Child LIVES TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY
Yessir! She's coming together!

I sure did! It wasn't easy lol. Yeah, external mic is doing the trick! Thanks, Matt!

@crackedbrainOG I changed to 4.56 gear and it was perfect.
@@BackyardBMX73 I don't track the car, would you still recommend the 4.56? Just seems low.
I gotcha. 4.10 would probably be best for the street then.
The car sounds Great!!! Nice!!
Thanks, Al!

@@BackyardBMX73 Good point. I was mentioning about output shaft speed sensor wires for the proper function on a cluster without triggering DTC's.
Gotcha man. I'm not sure what all is affected by the speed sensor. I went with the Bowler harness to save me the headache.
The first drive is always nerve racking. Break in is also not too fun but at least the hard part is done. Now all you have to do it drive it!
Yeah man, have a few bugs to work out but we gettin there!

Thank you, bro! Unfortunately, my daily commute is mostly hwy so that would be bad for the trans. We'll get there, hopefully this weekend.
Glad project stepchild is coming along good bro! Once you hit the 500 mile break in it’s on!! 🏁
Thank you, bro! Yessir, it is!!!
Nice man. Glad everything went smooth. Can't wait till you get some miles on the stepchild so we can see her opened up!
Oh man, I'm dyin to lay into her!
Really nice build. Cutting no corners from the start Really cool. Wish I had the gen 2 motor that’s my goal someday or aluminator. Sounds good
Yeah man, trying to do things right the first time. Thanks, brother!
Did you get any transmission vibration through shifter???? I have slots on mine I think the shop did not check pinion angle
A little, but not much.
Did you do a crank sensor relearn after the install. I heard you have to do this after removing Flywheel? Just wondering what all im gonna have to do.
Yes, absolutely do a crank relearn. Very simple to do.
Glad your happy with it...It would suck to do all that work then not like the results.
It is weird the clutch is lighter than the original, probably a good thing for driving in traffic.
I had a hunch I'd like the setup. Yeah, definitely a good thing the clutch isn't heavy.
Glad to see you finally got it back together man that car going to be loud when you open her up with that exhaust
Oh yeah, can't wait!
Dammmn listen 🎶 to the sound of that Beast 💪 Stang Life 🐎
Hell yeah, bro!
I take it you’re extremely happy with the T56, any clue how it compares to the Tremic ? Weight prefomance ect ?

What was all needed to swap from the mt-82 to the t-56 magnum

I gotcha man. You'll definitely need a new clutch then.
What gear did you go with ? Im planning on getting the swap but they asking between a 2.97 gear or 2.66
I went with 2.97 first gear. 2.66 would be better for road course.
Can you recommend anythng for me I have a 2005 with a Paxon supercharger automatic ?
I'm sure Tremec has a compatible transmission. You can contact Hanlon Motorsports. They can lead you in the right direction.
My tranmission just went out
@@BackyardBMX73 Thank you and your video is great
@@dalethaxton9862 thank you very much for watching!

You need the anti foul spark plug adapters for the down stream its 4 pcs and only $6 on amazon no codes come up 😎theres yt vid install for it.
Actually, I don't need them. My car is now supercharged with no tune issues.
Did the rpm hang go away ?
They removed it in the tune.
Hell yeah sick af! Bro about how much did a shop like that Costa ya if you don’t mind sharing it’s perfect!
Thanks man!
Shops like mine are typically in the $30k range, depending on what options you pick.
Hey if you want to add miles on your car come out to our meet in Charleston,SC next Saturday afternoon.
I'd love to, but need to stay off the hwy so I can shift as much as posible. Thank you for the invite though!
So awesome to swap a real manual in an S550
Right on man!
STEPCHILD is going to get down!
Yessir!🤘🤘🤘
Love it, love it, love it. Was your window up or down??
Thanks man! Down at the very start of driving then up the rest of the time.
LETSSSS GO!!!!!
Yaaasss!!!
What exactly had to be clearanced
You have to dent in the trans tunnel where the reverse lockout solenoid is, otherwise it will contact the tunnel and cause vibration or false knock.
how did you end up denting it in?
before or after transmission Install?
Hammer, before final install. Mock up to see where to clearance, remove trans and hammer away.
that sucks haha I allready got the tranny in and noticed a vibration
@@bernhardgiesbrecht1806 you might be able to drop the rear of the trans a bit and get something in there.
Sweet! 💪🏾
