  • Over the years things have changed here in good ole boy Sellersburg, and they’re like going to keep changing. Clark County saw a population growth rate of nearly 10 percent from 2010 to 2020 while Sellersburg grew by as much as 50 Percent. It’s probably a combination of newer housing developments along with Sellersburg annexing some of the surrounding unincorporated developed areas. Back in 1980, Sellersburg was a dinky little town home to only about 3,000 people. Go back to 1920 and Sellersburg had only 915.

My girlfriend and I moved to Sellersburg three years ago from Clarksville Indiana. Things had just gotten too busy in Clarksville I found myself living off Veterans Parkway behind Walmart and Target by only one block. I Love our new home in Sellersburg. I think it’s a wonderful town and community to live around. I do work in Louisville. And the commute is not that bad. Only about 25 to 30 minutes each way. Thanks for highlighting our small town and giving everyone A good view of what it’s like.

I grew up in Sellersburg and it really is a nice area and always had such a small town feel. Most families know each other one way or another. My grandfather worked at the cement plant for years and saw many owners come and go. It's changed some since I lived there in my high school years (more fast food chains, updated our old ass high school, and more expensive neighborhoods).

Hey that was great Chris. I have been living in Indiana-Indy metro for about 20 years and know next to nothing about this region. The usual excellent background discussion with your trademark video making one feel they are actually in the car are as usual present. Elevator music??? I actually think the music is beautiful, relaxing and enhaces the whole presentation. Craig

Chris, another enjoyable watch. Wow, 16 rankings using the "Chris Livability Score," seems just like yesterday you started using it, my how time flies when you're having fun. Sellersburg seems to be a nice place to live. You need to get out of the car a bit more and get on camera, it makes the vid more personal, "in a good way." Thanks for your time, work and posting.

I thought it's a great little town. I was out there picking up a vehicle in the general area. Got a lead on another vehicle and went to this town here. We drove out to countryside and so forth he showed me the old truck. My toes are nice town and I drove through speed as well. Or at least I drove near it. Thanks for clarifying why it's called speed

The confederate flag? I've seen it quite often throughout the state of Indiana during my life. A common sight is on the back window of an old, rusty, smaller pickup truck, and those are usually complimented by a monster energy drink decal or a pair of truck nuts.
Other states that I feel like I'll often come across one of those is in Ohio, Kentucky and Missouri. However, you're bound to see one every once in a while in the rural areas throughout the U.S.

At 9:17 if one took the turn to fast they could end up in the front room of the house on the right. And again, if driving to fast, at 9:35 one would end up going down somebody's driveway and in their front door, and again at 9:43...... Not a road for speeding drivers on Mountain Dew.
