Got the ERS1, comfy seat and adjustable, but becomes loose and squeaks alot now. And when braking, the back shifts backwards even when all bolts tight. Also noting that the back tilted further back than what Mike has it, seems more rigid the more tilted forward it is.
Funny I was just thinking I could use a new seat. Hard to make sim videos at length when I can’t sit for more than 10mins. Thanks man I may look into picking this up
@SimRacing604 yes of course, your videos are informative and inspiring. Been following you for some time now. I appreciate your take on various equipment, mods and games. Keep it up
Im 6'3 200lb tall and thin but thick thighs from lifting and wide hips, im looking at this or the ers3. Which one would you recommend. I will race and fly with this but mostly race. Also the ers5 does the suede get sticky after sweating on it, its my only concern as i see they offer a mesh too
Thanks for the review Mike, very interested in these new seats. But I may have an issue. I have an Extreme Simracing P1 3.0 chassis that I have had for 4 years. I am not sure if these seats will adapt mounting wise. Thoughts?
@@rikone01 thanks for watching. I’d hate to see you buy a seat that doesn’t work, so I’d advise going the the Next Level Racing website and looking up the install guide. It should have mounting dimensions. There are many holes on the bottom rails that could be used for bolts, so there’s a good chance it’ll work. Best to check with NLR first though
I purchased a ERS1 earlier this year. I wish that this seat had been available at that time. The ERS1 is a little narrow for me. The dual mechanism for back adjustment works great.
@@dannyadams5250 yeah, I’ve used the ERS1 for a long time. It’s been great for me. But you’re right, this ERS5 is a little wider and allows you a bit more room laterally, which is great for a guy my size.
Hi Mike! This is a really nice looking seat. Pretty much what I'm in the market for. Good timing on bringing it to my attention. Any chance you know how well the NLR Haptic Pad fits in this seat? I'm on my way over to the NLR website to check it out. Appreciate your point of view on things. Cheers!
@@rickthomas9894 thanks for watching! My haptic pad is in my garage, and I’m overdue to review it since the last major update. So, I’m not entirely sure how well it fits, but I honestly can’t see an issue. Could be worth sending them a message on Discord before you buy
Would be nice to see a comparison between the ERS3 and the ERS5

Is it better in terms of rigidity than the first version? I hear the 1 is not rigid in recline, that is moves under braking….

"FIA certified". What could that possibly mean in this context? 😂
It means no curse words allowed, as it offends Ben Sulayem.
He said licensed. Means they can use the FIA name. Translation... Marketing
