Slow knitting crew! Also I love our Saturday hangs lol. When I get stressed about not knitting fast enough I make a conscious effort to slow down and enjoy the process and make it meditative. I've found it really helpful to avoid knitting panic. Every time i knit I practice moving slowly and intentionally and its good for my brain.
Snail stitches over here! Thank you for hanging out 💛 I love the sentiment of this! It’s funny because I never felt the pressure to get projects off the needles until I started speaking about them out loud each week ! I really do just enjoy the motion of it, so I will remember this when I get into my next frenzy! Thank you 💛
Nora girl, don't stress. I enjoy just relaxing and knitting when I can. Your podcasts give the vibe of just hanging out. With our busy lives, these moments are precious. 😀🧶👍🏼
Nora, I hope you don't put pressure on yourself to achieve goals just so you have content. We enjoy just sitting and listening to you chat about anything! I love your thrifting adventures and would really enjoy seeing and hearing much more about that. I enjoy another podcast called Flannel and Purls and some of his episodes are only him sitting and knitting with super peaceful music playing. It is strangely relaxing! Don't burn out, we will always be here for you.
Thank you so much for this 💛 this video showed me that it doesn’t always have to be finished object or a new cast on, and I have accepted that weight lifted off of my shoulders! I am just happy to chat knitting
Love your newbie perspective. When I was just a baby knitter at Rhinebeck I wish I had known this: go with a plan-have 4 or 5 things you want to knit and know what the yardage/weight you need is for your size. So when you find something yummy- you will buy it with that in mind! I bought random things that year and didn't have a plan. Lots of those are still in my stash 8 years later. Wifi is iffy. Make it a note on your phone or print a searching for list. Then it's a fun scavenger hunt. Podcaster meet up on the hill is fun, and there have been stitch marker swaps in the past. Sunday hit the fun animal stuff and enjoy the peace! Pack some snacks for energy!
I actually really love your weekly videos and the real time progress of your makes! When people film every month or so it's awesome to get to see so many FOs but it can feel like I am moving at a snail's pace. We will all rejoice with you when you get one of these babies off your needles!
I’m with all the commenters who are saying they want to see you thrift for yarn. That would be some amazing content! As always, thank you for your upbeat and fun attitude and your adorable and bubbly spirit. Love your videos and really look forward to my “Saturday Morning Cartoons”! 😂
The fun part of having several projects going for me is when they are getting close to the finish line/complete and all of a sudden you have multiple new items to wear!! Just keep knitting 🧶🤩🥰
I also feel like my projects are really slow (especially when watching podcasters knit a sweater in a week or so 😲) I was thinking that you had achieved a lot in 69 days, as that is only just over 2 months. I agree with the other people in the comments, we are here for your company, knitting chat and progress. No pressure whatsoever for finished objects! I love the idea of a thrifted yarn tour. I love thrifting for yarn when I get the chance. I also love the idea of a Rhinebeck tour. Living in Australia means that I can only vicariously attend through podcasters. I think your tour would be so much fun. 📺
Yes to Rhinebeck and thrifted yarn content! I love seeing how amazing you're doing after just 1 year of knitting! I have been knitting for over 20 years, and I learn something new with nearly every project it seems. It's one of the things I love most about this craft! I enjoy your podcast so much every week:) Oh! And for that beautiful bulky yarn you found...I adore this pattern... Winter Dreamer Hat by Kalurah Hudson
I personally love patterns that say "knit this many inches." It's a lot easier for me to switch needles to meet stitch gauge than it is to meet row gauge, and when a pattern is based on measurements, I don't get as worked up about gauge. Also, I love your chill vibe podcasts. They're fun and I look forward to watching them on Saturday mornings when I get some stitching time 🥰 Edit to add: another wonderful way to thrift for yarn, is look through the clothing for sweaters and see what the fiber content is. I've seen some lovely cashmere sweaters for $5-$10, and you can always unravel the yarn to reuse it! Even if the sweater has holes or damages, you can cut those sections out. You still get a sweaters quantity of high quality fiber for dirt cheap!!
I really enjoy it for the same reason! I’m surprised I hadn’t seen it before! I have tried to unravel a thrifted sweater once before and it did not go well 😅 I am not opposed to trying again, but definitely that’s spooky right now 😂 thank you for hanging out with me!
Berroco ultra for $3 is incredible! OMG I love that yarn! I've made a few headbands and I absolutely adore them. The more the better! They are so warm and cozy. I live in them in the colder weather.
I know Saturday is a busy day at Rhinebeck but I hope you will be on the Podcasters Hill on Saturday afternoon. I’ll be wearing my Ranunculous. Without your video, I never would have succeeded. It was the quickest, I have ever knit a sweater. FYI - Be sure to see the barns in the back.
Thank you for clueing me in! I should know closer to the date whether or not I will make it! I am so happy that you made it through and I am genuinely so grateful that you’ve spent your time with me 💛
I am also a slow knitter nust to enjoy the process and more counting while practicing not looking or while watching aovie. Love Fleece & Harmony, too for us slow knitters. Thorally enjoy your videos.
Saturdays are perfect. All of my managers are out early and I can have the podcast on while I am just doing data logs for the week. It's hard when there are soooo many fun things gs to make but I think it's best to finish one at a time. Just work your test knit. I honestly think you will finish it. Don't take on more that takes you away from a goal. Finish the sweater and don't worry about another video. You'll just have a longer one next week. Can't wait to see if you finish and if you go to Rhinebeck DEFINITELY post and video and tell us! I have never been and don't anticipate going until my kids are grown. We do family vacas only. And that's ok. It's where I'm at right now and I love it.
You are precious! Keep sharing your Joy of knitting and don't stress about the amount of time a project takes. Your love of knitting is contagious! Your editing is fun! I also love your Idea of trying a "Spooky" technique or project ❤.
👀if I had time I would have to try steeking.... But I'm into some big gift knits and test knits that will be about all I have time to consume until Christmas 😂
Yes, a thrift store video is a great idea; and so is a video of Rhinebeck. I do enjoy watching all of the Rhinebeck videos even if I attend the festival. -- Right now I'm knitting the Saturday Shrug using thrifted mohair. I got 8 skeins of mohair for a bargain price of $14! The mohair is discontinued and is thicker than most mohair, but it's working out great for the Saturday Shrug. By the way, I love all of the added photos and phrases you post on your videos--so cute!
Thank you for your feedback! I just saw that one and think it’s so cute! What a great deal!!! I am a sucker for a good saving. Thanks so much for watching 💛
I can finally see your vision in the test knit because in previous videos I could not tell if that buckle-mohair combo would work but oh my is so pretty and looks good on you!
Yes! I would love a video on recycling yarn and love to hear more about it. I used to thrift for wool garments as I used the wool to rug hook. It was a lot of work washing, dissembling and taking it all apart but totally worth it. But if you can find yarn balls that’s a score! Have you ever thought about buying wool sweaters to unwind?
I love the idea of that! I have only tried that once, and it ended in a lot of frustration and sneezing 😂 I am certainly not opposed to it! I’ll definitely share if I ever get around to it!
I’m new to knitting and the first time I saw a pattern that said “knit till x cm or inches” I was like “oh this is nice because then if your gauge is off in terms of height then for sure your garment will come out to the right size because no matter how many rows it takes for you to get to that size your garment will be x amount of inches” it’s nice until they describe it in the sleeves and one sleeve ends up with more rows then another lol. So I have definitely made a note to always count the rows anyways lol. Love your podcasts!
Yes definitely helpful to avoid row gauge issues! I have been using a row counter for sleeves just to track how many rows I’ve done that I can match it in the next sleeve and it keeps it super mindless. Highly recommend!
It spooked me so much in the beginning! I loved the tutorial by Brooklyn Tweed for the Italian Bind off! It really clicked after watching that one! Good luck!!!
Hooray new NoraKnits! I think the Musselburgh hat works with various yarn thicknesses and takes less than 1 skein - or the purl soho ribbed hat could be fun to match your pup 😄 All about Ami has some cute patterns as well! I know you don’t have a q&a section yet, but if you’re okay sharing I’d love to know how you get all of the cute knitty graphics in your videos. Do you make them? They’re always so adorable!
That pattern is in my queue! Definitely want to get to it soon! I am so glad you guys love them-they bring me so much joy! Most of my graphics are me-made with the assistance of a good bit of tech! I am currently in the process of figuring out ProCreate! I just try to personalize everything as much as possible! Thank you so much 📺💛
Hey Nora, I'm looking forward to your poddie every week, and just like that other viewer said, and so many commented below, watching your poddie is just like knitting with a mate (Aussie for friend). Regarding the measurements, I appreciate them in a pattern and look for them. I always go straight for schematics too, it tells me how much I can expect my size to measure, and allows me to adjust accordingly, whether it be row and stitch gauge or my differing body measurement. I have a measuring tape almost in my pocket, seriously I use it countless times while knitting. As well as that, I preblock, just be sure Im on the right path. I've learned the hard way that to check and double check is better than ripping. But I have also learned, even with all of that, knitting and unknitting are equally part of the process. While I watched your poddie today, I was recasting on the Pixi cardigan by Sanne Bjerregaard. I had to rip back because I noticed my gauge had changed from my swatch by 2 stitches over 10cm. Its an Aran weight cardigan so that difference means a whole size. It was annoying but better to rip back my yoke than rip back the whole cardi. I have done one test knit, a headband. I did it to test how I liked test knits and I didnt like it. It was too stressful and felt continually under pressure and anxious. For a $10 pattern, the hours of stress didnt add up. But I do hope you get the time to finish it, Im sure it will be stunning when all is said and done. Cheers, Tara
Thank you so much 💛 I do actually think that the measuring is super helpful to ensure a good fit! I need to get one of those cute little tape measures to make it easier. I can definitely see what you’re saying with the test knits. Do enjoy having the deadline to keep me on track, but I think this one is a little bit short of a timeline. Thanks so much for being here!
Don’t worry about how fast you knit something. It’s not worth the stress. There are podcasters I follow that rarely have FO’s, and I still love watching them. 😊. Your energy and enthusiasm is a joy to watch. Also, I’ve had my sweater on the needles for 79 days, and that DOESN’T include the original cast on back in Jan/Feb before I frogged everything I’d done. Lol.
Thank you so much for this 💛 the best projects take time! It’s hard to remember that sometimes, but I am really glad to hear the feedback from you all! Thank you!
I love your videos! I live in Oxford Connecticut. I’m only about half hour from the yarn barn yarn shop. I love that shop. You have made me want to start knitting again. I stopped for a while and have been crocheting instead with my granddaughter. I taught them how to crochet. It was fun. They made a stuffed bumblebee!
Request! An Instagram post showing your antler buttons just sitting on your Korshavn-so-far? Dying to see that and if it looks as fabulous as I think it's going to, I'll start a go-fund-me for your next button order. Go slow, have fun.
Cables are spooky for me. I have a project queued and it has one big cable down the front. 😬 Going to cast it on as soon as i finish a spooky button band (first one). I’m a crazy new knitter too. Started just after Thanksgiving 2022 and I. Can’t. Stop. So fun
Ooooh I like the sound of that! Cables spooked me and then when I discovered how it worked I was pretty shocked at the simplicity! I’m so glad us crazy newbies have found each other!
Your videos really are like sitting down with a friend. Never stress about the length of your videos. They're so much fun, and worrying will take away your joy (and that joy radiates from you). I hope you get to go to Rhinebeck. I'm planning to go next year. It would be great if you could film your time there. If you can't, don't stress and just have fun. 💚🧶🐑💚
you inspired me this morning w/ your spooky challenge. Used Lori's stretchy bind off for first time. Was intimidating when I watched the video, but turned out to be easy (with a double pointed needle) and I like the finished edge. Thanks for the inspiration.
Yayyyy! This makes me so so happy! And now I feel like you have inspired me to try that when the situation presents itself! Congrats on conquering your fears! 💛
I highly recommend investing in a steam wand! I often steam block my projects during the knitting process to check my measurements, especially for lacework.. For sweaters hang what you've got on a hanger first and just steam gently. I also suggest finishing the collar of a sweater before finishing the body, since that can really affect the length of the finished sweater. Your test knit is gorgeous!!!! I agree that the vertical stitch pattern is just lovely. I'm obsessed 😍
Oooooh I like this idea! Definitely going to consider that! I have made it a habit to finish the neck band and arms prior to ending the sweater body. Weird I didn’t do that on this one! Thanks for the reminder!
Nora when thrifting yarn put it in the freezer for a few days. It will kill moths/eggs…. Also go to the Southbury Training School thrift shop. X14 Lots of fun crafting & knitting finds there!
My spooky project would either be a ranunculus, or socks! Have yet to try them... they do spook me. Love your projects. You are so much fun to watch, so natural, so funny. LOVE your videos - the sound effects, music, etc. are just great. Love your top, too, so cute. sending love, hugs, prayers.
So much spooky! I tried the sock thing and I don’t know if that life is for me 😅 it’s not that I found them too tricky or anything, I just didn’t feel like the juice was worth the squeeze for me. I’m sure I’ll change my mind one day! Let me know if you decide to give your spooky stuff a shot! Thanks so much for your kind words 💛
I always prefer when a pattern tells me how many inches to knit as opposed to number of rows. I often find that my row gauge is more likely to be off than stitch gauge.
I am pretty sure this is why. The specific number of rows for a length measurement is a pretty recent development in knitting patterns, as far as I have seen. I would guess especially with this sweater's construction, making sure the armhole depth is accurate by measuring rather than counting rows that can vary, would be very important for fit.
I think the texture of the Lykke would be spectacular in one color; I have done that with the Zweig sweater. I’d love to see your stash tour and also, if you go to Rhinebeck then I’d love to see you do a vlog and/or a recap afterward. Have a really great weekend!
I seriously am obsessed with the look of the stitch pattern! We shall see if I get around to trying it! I will have to look into that pattern. It’d always fun to reimagine a pattern even with just swapping out color choices! Thanks so much for the feedback! Happy knitting!!!
The Gimme All the Cables Touque by Andrea Kemper would look cute with your thrifted Berroco yarn. I made one earlier this year and plan to make a few more for gifts. It's a really quick knit and free Ravelry download too.
Hi can I be in the slow knitters club too? I discovered a jumper (sweater... I'm in the UK) that I started knitting my daughter 2 years ago. I completed the back, got distracted and then sucked into the world of sock knitting and completely forgot about the jumper until I discovered the project bag inside of another project back 🙈 My aim now is to complete the jumper and the Westknits SSAL that I started in July, in time to gift as presents for Christmas. I agree with the other comments, watching your pod cast is like sitting down with a friend. Your presentation is refreshing and I love the inclusion of Osi.
Welcome to it! Snail stitches over here 😂 that’s even more exciting to find half-finished projects ready to take on a new life! That’s a great goal! I hope you get there ☺️ thanks so much for hanging out with me and my Osi
love love love your pod cast, the music when u were talking about the sari nordlund test knit competed with your voice and made it hard for me to hear u. keep being u , i love watching your show
I love your podcast!!! What size needle are you doing your ranunculus? What weight yarn? Knitting to a measurement from the shoulder to the underarm rather than counting the number of rows is very common. It's actually preferable because people rarely get row gauge.
Thank you so much. I am using a sport weight yarn for my Ranunculus- Malabrigo Susurro - and I am knitting it on 4.5mm needles. I like the idea of measuring to avoid issues with row gauge!
I really enjoy patterns with a knit to x cm instructions because I often find my row gauge way off while the stitch gauge fits perfectly, the fabric is nice and I don't want to change needles. The thing I find it tricky in these cases to pick up stitches when it's written like pick up every 2 out of 3 stitches or similarly.
@@akaNoraKnits haha, you're welcome, I guess. I've read somewhere to go with the ratio of your gauge. So e.g. if you got a 18x24 gauge, you should pick up every 3 out of 4 stitches. Or you could mark increments of 10cm/4in and pick up as many stitches in this section as your stitch gauge is. Hope this helps! ❤
Omg you got so much done on your test knit! I definitely understand feeling like you're not getting much done with all the projects you have. I'm currently struggling trying to find a yarn that I love for the sweater I really want to make which means I don't really have anything current to work on and it's driving me crazy 😢. Anyways everything looks amazing can't wait for next week! 😂❤
Ooooh my goodness. I cannot even tell you how many times I have pushed off a cast on because I couldn’t find that perfect yarn! I literally did it with my test knit 😂 I hope the right one finds you!!!
I'm actually knitting several projects that have you measure from the cast-on edge of the neckline to the underarm. One was a Petite Knit pattern I just finished, and one is the Versal by Ailbíona McLochlainn. I think it's pretty common in certain types of construction. I have also seen it in some raglans, but that is mostly measuring the front instead of the back. I have way too many projects on my needles, so I'm not casting anything new on until I get a few projects completed.
So interesting! There’s a first for everything. It is nice that it takes a little pressure off of the row gauge. I am hoping to cast off 2 before casting on one….we got this!
My try it on tubing snapped while I was transferring my zipper sweater. My daughter and I both 😮 gasped and there was complete silence from the both of us until I got all the stitched back on the needles. 😂 now I’m in the need of better tubing cause now I’m scared.
Oh my gosh!!! The PANIC! I actually never had an issue with the tubing I use, but I’m usually pretty careful. I feel like I didn’t breathe while those stitches were off the needles 😂
Just wanted to share an update on my Ranunculus. After the neckline issue I ripped it out and cast it on using the larger neckline cast on. This will fit although it still looks a bit more snug than I prefer. I really hope that blocking it out will make the difference I'd like there. Now I am about halfway through the yoke and things seem to be going much more smoothly. Once the yoke is done, I should be able to try it on and find out for sure. 🤞
I almost never reach row gauge so knowing the number of inches from shoulder to underarm is helpful. However since i am petite in height i usually reduce the inches a bit otherwise the armhole is too deep.
I prefer patterns that give inches for length instead of number of rows. It's sometimes hard to get row gauge so knitting to the inch is better for me😊
🌴☀️I find it extremely common for patterns to say “knit for X inches” and actually prefer it, here’s why… Our arms aren’t the same length, our waist to underarm isn’t the same …etc. sooo I look at it as an opportunity to explore my own customization/design within a pattern. So then you tried it on, let’s say it’s too long as written in pattern in the arm, torso, hem etc and so you modify it to be longer/shorter & then document that in the test knit (you’ve done this to a certain degree before I think) then EUREKA😂. Your doing very advanced knitting for 1 year of knitting considering the projects you’ve chosen. As far as taking long with knitting I’m in the #MyOwnPace club. If I wanted different I’d go watch something different. Keep doing you and WE ALL will keep watching…we love ya jellybean so accept it teehehe💐 thanks for the video until next time tata☀️🌴
I would love if a pattern can include both row and length! My row gauge is off sometimes so I want to make sure I'm knitting as the designer intended 😅
If I could have one wish…. I wish your podcast was longer. I know today you didn’t have as much work to show but I could listen for hours! And I agree, I had the same thought about Saturday morning cartoons when you first said you were putting podcasts out on Saturday mornings! I love 💕 your podcast so much. I just wish you wouldn’t go the route of other knitting podcasts Who started this “welcome or welcome back” thing they all do. Just welcome us all together. That sounds so awful. You’re doing fine on your projects. Don’t measure yourself against other knitters. I really don’t know how others can pound out so many projects at the same time.. I love seeing them all but we just come to see you. You are so entertaining.
Yep, what she said. I love this 'cast for so many reasons, and one of them is no endless intro with gaggy folk music over a sweeping view of wildflowers. Also no chair shoved in a corner with all your green plants obv dragged into frame and bouncing off your hair. No acquisition-guilt segment. I could go on.
Thank you so much! I realized while I was editing that I said that and actually cringed a little myself 😅 it’s so funny how those things you hear all the t8,e make their way into your brain! But definitely, noted! Thank you so much for your comment. This knitting podcast world is really great, but I definitely need to keep my blinders up a little bit. I’ve never really been one to compare myself to others and I certainly don’t want to start now! I appreciate your feedback and your view! Thanks again 💛
Thank you so much! As you can see from my musical backdrop, I am coming to you from a very musical home! I couldn’t help myself but to add a little flavor at the beginning of my videos. I am so glad you enjoy it! 🥰
I'm always afraid that my favourite podcasters will feel pressure to produce content. Please, just enjoy your knitting...and know that we're here because we enjoy your company ❤. I don't have much luck thrifting, but I'll keep trying! There's a young woman with a podcast here in Ontario, Canada that has great luck thrifting....her podcast it Kuria Knits 📺
📺 thank you so much for this! I am constantly surprised by the grace you all give me 💛 I love Kuria Knits! I started watching her when she started talking about her thrifting! It’s honestly a hobby all in itself!
Knit for x number of inches is an extremely common thing in garment patterns because peoples row gauge can be very different. Thats not a thing in your pattern just because its a test knit. Test knitting for these well respected designers it more for the photos of finished objects and publicity. Not to find errors in the pattern. Its likely already be tech edited.
I prefer a pattern to tell me to knit so many inches rather than number of rows because everyone's row gauge is different, and we usually only focus on stitch gauge, and not row gauge.
I genuinely got so excited this morning when I remembered it's a Nora Knits day 😅
Yes, same!
Omg my heart is so happy 💛 thanks for being here!
Same!! Some of these RUclipsrs will have you thinking that you’re not making enough progress.
I feel seen. I am such a SLOW knitter
Snail stitches over here! Thank you for hanging out 💛 I love the sentiment of this! I love how your Lykke pullover is looking with the boucle chevrons - just like clouds! Another great pod📺😀
Thank you! 📺 CLOUDS! I love that! That is exactly how I will think of them from now on!
📺 definitely Saturday morning cartoon vibez!!!!🙌💞
📺 yayyy! Thank you !
YES!! Thrifted Stash Tour Please.... I also love thrifting supplies for crafting, makes the hunt and the project that much more special.
Nora girl, don't stress. I enjoy just relaxing and knitting when I can. Your podcasts give the vibe of just hanging out. With our busy lives, these moments are precious. 😀🧶👍🏼
Awww I appreciate this! Thank you so much!

Great advice! Thank you so much!!! 🥰
Oh my goodness your knitting IQ for less than a year of experience is really remarkable! I enjoy thrifting as well!
Thank you so much! Definitely adding thrifted yarn stash to the list of videos to make!
Would love to see a Rhinebeck video, ESPECIALLY since it would be your first! I've never been, I'd be living vicariously through you 😂
I actually really love your weekly videos and the real time progress of your makes! When people film every month or so it's awesome to get to see so many FOs but it can feel like I am moving at a snail's pace. We will all rejoice with you when you get one of these babies off your needles!

Thank you so so much! Definitely noted and hopefully I can get to it sooner than later! I imagine I will have a lot of fun filming that one!
I find it really helpful to use a progress keeper. Seeing that visible progress really motivates me to push forward!
yes I need to start doing this!
The fun part of having several projects going for me is when they are getting close to the finish line/complete and all of a sudden you have multiple new items to wear!! Just keep knitting 🧶🤩🥰
I totally see that being so fun! Maybe one day I’ll enjoy the multi-project life more 😅

I love these kinds of finds! It makes yarn shopping that much more exciting! Someone else recommended a headband-good to know!
as someone who lives in Australia, i’d love you to show your Reinbeck adventure so I can enjoy it with u xxx
Yes to a thrifted stash video! ❤
This epidsode was weeks ago by the time I’m watching it, but I wanted to share that I would LOVE to see your thrift stash! Please continue sharing 😍
I think we can expect something in the not too distant future 👀 thank you!!!
Love, love, love your Lykke sweater 😍 also, thrifted yarn tour: yes please!
Thank you so much! Noted 🥰
I am so happy that you made it through and I am genuinely so grateful that you’ve spent your time with me 💛
📺 I enjoy your energy and conversation Nora!
Thank you so ,much 🥰📺
I am also a slow knitter nust to enjoy the process and more counting while practicing not looking or while watching aovie.
Thanks for letting me keep you company! I definitely think it’s time to throw the blinders on and get one thing done. Thanks for the feedback!
You are precious!
Keep sharing your Joy of knitting and don't stress about the amount of time a project takes.
Your love of knitting is contagious!
Your editing is fun!
I also love your Idea of trying a "Spooky" technique or project ❤.
Thank you so much 🥰 I really do appreciate this
Dropping the tubing always (always!) happens to me! Really feeling with you there...
Such panic! Thank god we got everything back on real quick 😅
Nora! I am in the same boat! Let's hope our hands will magically speed up and knit all of the items on our needles.
It’s so funny, I love the slowness of knitting! I just have no patience and want the finished garments right now hahaha
👀if I had time I would have to try steeking.... But I'm into some big gift knits and test knits that will be about all I have time to consume until Christmas 😂
Oooh that’s on my list too! I hope you find time to sneak in something for yourself! 💛
Love your podcast no matter how much or little knitting content you have!
Thank you so much 🥰
Another polished pod Nora well done you make Saturdays fun always excited to see yours pop up and pick it first to watch over everything else ❤️
Thank you so so much 🥰
I truly enjoy your episodes! You are so fun and inspiring! Thank you!
Thank you!!! 🥰
Thank you so much! It’s an instant favorite!
Wow. Your editing of your podcast are awesome. It’s the best I have seen so far. Also love your knitting content
Thank you so much for noticing! 💛
Yes more about thrifting!❤
Your podcast is delightful! A real spot of sunshine! Thank you!
Wow , thank you so much! ☀️
I would love to see your yarn stash and Rhinebeck if you get to go! Hang in there. You’ll finish all those WIPs and then wonder where to go next.
Thank you 💛
My spooky bind off is Italian bind off. Making Petite Knit Stockholm vest, so I started in an armpit. So far so good! I’m enjoying it 😊
It spooked me so much in the beginning!
Oh and also 📺😁
That pattern is in my queue! Definitely want to get to it soon!
I am so glad you guys love them-they bring me so much joy! Most of my graphics are me-made with the assistance of a good bit of tech! I am currently in the process of figuring out ProCreate! I just try to personalize everything as much as possible!
Thank you so much 📺💛
That’s amazing! They’re always so cute 😻 thank you for answering!
I would love to see a thrifted yarn haul please and thank you!
I love thrifting for yarn! A thrifted yarn tour would be great.
📺Loved the podcast and seeing your progress!
📺 thank you so much!
Cheers,
Tara
That is the sweetest bonding! I hope it sticks for you both 💛
Request!
An Instagram post showing your antler buttons just sitting on your Korshavn-so-far? Dying to see that and if it looks as fabulous as I think it's going to, I'll start a go-fund-me for your next button order.
Go slow, have fun.
Ahhhhhh that will scratch the itch too! I shall get to it this week! Thank you!
We were all beginners at one time. We are all still evolving in our knitting adventures.
Hi Nora. Knitting is meant to be a slow, relaxing process. At least it is for me. Also, enjoyed the podcast.
Yes please on Rhinebeck content!
Cables are spooky for me. I have a project queued and it has one big cable down the front. 😬
Going to cast it on as soon as i finish a spooky button band (first one).
Bulky thrift yarn idea - twisted ear warmer. Patons thrift yarn idea - gloves
Thank you so so much for this 💛
you inspired me this morning w/ your spooky challenge.
Yes! I have heard this-definitely need to put it into practice. I am shocked I haven’t discovered that yet! Will do! 🥰💛
Yes to thrift video
Going to try mosaic knitting!
Great recommendation! Thank you!!!
I hope you get there ☺️ thanks so much for hanging out with me and my Osi
love love love your pod cast, the music when u were talking about the sari nordlund test knit competed with your voice and made it hard for me to hear u. keep being u , i love watching your show
Thank you so much and I appreciate the feedback! 🥰
📺 Of course!
Love your podcast!!!
Thank you so ,much! 📺
LIGHTBULB! I just picked up the sleeve and was wondering why that wasn’t working out! Thank you for answering my un-asked question 😂
You could make the, Sophie scarf, by Petite knits👍🏻
I have loved watching your podcast on Saturday mornings. Your graphics are so cute! How do you do them?
Thank you so much! I make them with the help of a lot of tech 🥰
ahh omg i’m first😭 i lovee your videos🫶🏼
😂😂I completely understand the “first” feeling🤭🌴
Aw yayyyy!!! Thank you so much!!! 🥰
Love it! Thank you !
Needles at the Ready, gave some great tips for attending Rhinebeck on their lastest podcast.
Great to know! Thank you!
@@akaNoraKnits 😂😂 what tubing do you use?
It’s linked in the description-I bought a giant roll on Amazon and it really has been great!
Seems like we are in the same boat! I hope it turns out! What would we do without blocking? 😅
I wish more designers indicated length by in/cm because I often chose a different gauge than suggested in the pattern.
I almost never reach row gauge so knowing the number of inches from shoulder to underarm is helpful. However since i am petite in height i usually reduce the inches a bit otherwise the armhole is too deep.
I just finished a stockinette sweater with measurements and a hat where I had to measure the ribbing
I don't do instagram but have accepted the challenge! Italian bind off done. Tubular bind off done. This week will tackle brioche
Yayyyyyy! Look at you go! I’d love to know what you thought after trying them! Not so spooky? 👻
@@akaNoraKnits wonder why I procrastinated doing. Will be using a lot!
I prefer patterns that give inches for length instead of number of rows. It's sometimes hard to get row gauge so knitting to the inch is better for me😊
I think I am with you now! So smart!
🌴☀️I find it extremely common for patterns to say “knit for X inches” and actually prefer it, here’s why…
Our arms aren’t the same length, our waist to underarm isn’t the same …etc. sooo I look at it as an opportunity to explore my own customization/design within a pattern.
Great insight! Thank you, as always, Queen! 👑
I would love if a pattern can include both row and length! My row gauge is off sometimes so I want to make sure I'm knitting as the designer intended 😅
I agree with this!
🌿💐🌿WELL SAID🌿💐🌿
Yep, what she said.

Tell me akanoraknits about the song at the beginning of each podcast. I truly enjoy listening to it each Saturday!
There's a young woman with a podcast here in Ontario, Canada that has great luck thrifting....her podcast it Kuria Knits
📺
📺 thank you so much for this! I am constantly surprised by the grace you all give me 💛 I love Kuria Knits! I started watching her when she started talking about her thrifting! It’s honestly a hobby all in itself!
I love knitting by inches/cm instead of row counts because my row gauge is always way off 🙈
Totally! It is super helpful to ensure a good fit!
📺❤
📺💛 thank you
I prefer a pattern to tell me to knit so many inches rather than number of rows because everyone's row gauge is different, and we usually only focus on stitch gauge, and not row gauge.
Background music 😭
I mentioned you in my (@flockingwithewe) podcast. Hope the is okay!
