One thing that bothered me was how they tried to make Rick sympathetic. He wasn't bullied because he was some kind of nerd. He was bullied because he put Terri in a coma. In the real world no kid would want to go to a school where he knew he was public enemy number one.
That's the reality with a lot of school shooters. Sure, a lot of them are sympathetic in that they had a bad home life and they were being bullied, but sometimes they were being bullied for a reason. This wasn't a black and white situation. Rick wasn't a good person, but this wouldn't have happened if the entire school hadn't bullied him. I do question Rick returning to Degrassi after the Terri situation. Like, what did he expect to happen?

Hate to say it but Rick bullied Terri first. But he didnt deserve his end on the show. He needed help. Im happy Toby was his friend. But he didnt get the right punishment.
Rick was trying to redeem himself for what he did to Terri. He didnt deserve to die. Or to be bullied like he was. He should have served jail time though. And got court ordered anger management.
I don’t know whether to pity him or hate him he was heavily bullied but He was beating his gf bad controlling her life and put her in a coma I’m like how could I feel bad for him yet I somewhat do But Emma wasn’t flirting with him she was being nice to him because she felt bad and he forced himself on her you saw when she said what are you doing he had a grip on her too
I’ve never seen even one episode of this show. Didn’t really know about it until a few years ago. Maybe I’m just a boomer idk lol. Looks like it was a decent show tho.
Everyone is wondering why they didn’t start running, and I did too, but y’all have to remember that this took place in 2003-2004 where school shootings weren’t as common back then as they are now. Also this is in Canada and they’re a lot more common in America. So not everyone is automatically gonna suspect a school shooting and no one was yelling as they were running, so they didn’t know what was going on. I feel like they should’ve heard the gunshot tho, so that confused me. But yeah, since it’s more common nowadays then it’s likely we’ll run if we see people running from somewhere in a certain setting bc sadly mass shootings are more common now.
Or it could have been avoided if the Students just forgot about Terri and just moved on with their lives while learning the concepts of forgiving and forgetting. They also should have learned the saying, "Two wrongs don't make a right." and that bullying someone for revenge is never the right answer.

I can understand why he wanted to shoot Emma. To say NOTHING of her socially unavailing herself to Rick, She was always such a meddler out for her OWN design and agenda for her friends AND enemies (Rick) at Degrassi. If she were REALLY about the "Guys this is going too far!" bit, she would have realized that Spinner and his friends were the ones taking advantage of an easy mark and Justifying their OWN behavior. Sean is the man way to go he saved her life when Rick was about to kill her!
if you see people running you run too
rick should have change schools.and gotten help.and never beat that girl.
And better yet Emma should have stayed out of it in the first place.
My question is where the fuck is the teachers😂😂
If I'm not mistaken they was having something in gym so the teachers were there
Rocking them Quavo glasses since 2004
If only he knew....
What if Sean and Jimmy had ran into each other during that scene with Rick there?
He say don't turn away from me. That was the right time to run.
*people start running away*
*Emma, Sean, and Toby walk towards what people are running away from*
NoW tHaTs WhaT i CaLL a HorriBLe IdeA 👍🏻
Even though he probably had certain targets, he could’ve killed other people so the fact that going towards Rick killed him, wasn’t stupid
But..
Sean protected Emma and I'm happy so-
Thank you Rick
reminds me of the walking dead when rick killed Shane
Jay dumped yellow paint and some feathers on Rick Murray.
they not like us they not like us they not like us
I honestly thought Rick actually killed Sean for a second.
That a shocker as we didn’t know, who was shot until a little later.
It reveals it that Rick who was shot and died.
0:34 DON'T TURN AWAY FROM ME!!! 😡
Sean a life saver he'd probably liked emma
oh yes that amazing scenes with really amazing actors from degrassi and toby
Drake could’ve got the gun from him when he was standing in front of him
He was scared and a teenager like the rest them !! Everyone is gonna react differently
so is everyone dying on Degrassi
Btw, the shooter died not the guy who tried to save her.
Rick was trying to redeem himself for what he did to Terri. He didnt deserve to die. Or to be bullied like he was. He should have served jail time though. And got court ordered anger management.
He deserved everything he got
No, he wasn't. He just expected to be forgiven
@@zt1053No, he didn’t deserve what he got. They were just as bad as his was, what he did to Terri.
Rick wasnt about to shoot anybody with his hand shaking like that
They fucked up when they walked towards what ppl were running from
Wait who died like they both had I died face
LolerisPlays GamesHD rick the one with glasses and long hair
LolerisPlays GamesHD “I died face” 😂😂
“I died face” I’m crying 😂😂😂
Seen this clip before and the episode. Rick got killed not Sean
Rick die by being shot by close range, during the struggle between him and Sean.
I don’t know whether to pity him or hate him he was heavily bullied but He was beating his gf bad controlling her life and put her in a coma I’m like how could I feel bad for him yet I somewhat do
But Emma wasn’t flirting with him she was being nice to him because she felt bad and he forced himself on her you saw when she said what are you doing he had a grip on her too
EmmaNelson, SeanCameron, and RickMurray.
they saw people running and went towards what they were running from
Derriana Smith that was dumb
Didn't know Degrassi had such a creepy ass character.
I’ve never seen even one episode of this show. Didn’t really know about it until a few years ago. Maybe I’m just a boomer idk lol. Looks like it was a decent show tho.
Rick is so pretty
Eww.
@@DavidKen878 stopppp😭 I forgive him for what he’s done 🤭🤭
@@Jesuslovesyou399 1.) He's a fictional character.
2.) What does forgiving him have to do with his looks?
How many kids from that school died over the years?
Some boys and some girls made fun of Rick Murray.
No Rick, don’t do it, please don’t do it
Sees people running walks toward what people are running from???????
I wanna rewatch this series 😭
Every episode is here on RUclips under the official Degrassi channel (even the ones from the 80s/90s). You're welcome!
I need to check out the old seasons this is good
1:33 epic part
i was only 4 years when this aired
It all could’ve been avoided, Rick should’ve never been allowed back in Degrassi.
Or it could have been avoided if the Students just forgot about Terri and just moved on with their lives while learning the concepts of forgiving and forgetting. They also should have learned the saying, "Two wrongs don't make a right." and that bullying someone for revenge is never the right answer.
@@samflood5631forgiving and forget. Shut up, he was an abusive boyfriend with anger issues. He should’ve never been allowed back and should’ve been arrested
@@CyanHope Arrested for what? Putting one girl in a coma by accident?
Maybe if Spinner, Jay and Alex hadn't poor paint on Rick, Jimmy would have never been shot, and Rick would still be alive. Now Spinner, Jay and Alex have blood on their hands.
It really pissed me off when Prick was being abusive to Terri!!
Tobi: STAAAAHPPPPP!
This and the One Tree Hill school shooting episodes were the best.
The one tree hill one killed me omg. Especially when only mouth and the 2 others went to the funeral
Rick I feel for you bruh bruh
Lol drake was a senior on Degrassi when one was born in 2004
Goddamit teen nick
Rick wouldn't have shot a student if THEY didn't make him reach his breaking point.
Rick points the Gun at Emma: Sean’s like oh hell no
rick in this Sean looks like a poopy harry potter
That’s when indefinitely would have turned away.
These epsidose were probably the best of degrassi the drama was good and the acting was on point
Rick tried to shoot Emma because he was sour grapes about her rejecting his unwanted advances
He was long gone and no longer himself anymore.
Why is everybody throwing around bean soup?
“All it takes is one bad day”
The aftermath of any school shooting is represented in this, after everything cleared up visually, nothing can clear up mentally I think it was a season after, Ellie talks to Sean and Sean talks about how he thinks he killed Rick.
Rest In Peace Rick Murray, after everything you went through you're now in a better place!!!!
Don't think hell is a better place
***** You get it.
***** And so do you you get it.
@@dagame1231 Despite what he did to Terry, Rick still didn’t deserve to die like that.
Spinner and the others took it far, that Rick snap and brought the monster out of him.
They just as worse and bad as Rick was.
Lol the only reason he got bullied is because he put Terri in a coma
Rick Murray is my favorite character in the series.
Love those "who got shot" moments dead
So he wanted to kill Emma cause she didn't like him back
Wait who died again?
Rick died. He and Sean fought over the gun and Rick ended up dying. If he had lived he would have gone to prison for attempted murder.
Oh.....
I guess he decided to shoot Emma, since there was no going back since he shot jimmy, and this time he was going to be locked up, not the same situation of hurting terry since he got away with hurting terry.
Clorox Bleach Rick died
I can understand why he wanted to shoot Emma. To say NOTHING of her socially unavailing herself to Rick, She was always such a meddler out for her OWN design and agenda for her friends AND enemies (Rick) at Degrassi. If she were REALLY about the "Guys this is going too far!" bit, she would have realized that Spinner and his friends were the ones taking advantage of an easy mark and Justifying their OWN behavior. Instead, she toyed with Rick and left him out to dry. She just needed to see everyone "Getting Along". What a hypocrite!
Rick shot Jimmy but Jimmy didn't have nothing to do with his bullying He was right about the curse it was Spinner Jay Paige Toby Chris Ashley Alex and JT. JT was one of Rick's teasers but ended up dying himself On the night of the curse he came for Mia Danny Holly Jay Sinclair Anya and Sav but they never bullied rick he should have come for the ones who was bullying him the day he died.
Well, if Spinner didn’t jokingly put the blame Jimmy. He wouldn’t have got shot by Rick and be paralysed.
Jimmy did bully him
@@Mindyobusiness89 yep him and spinner dump Rick in the dumpster
@@jjkid1013 I remember that, it was because he hurt terra
@Jessica Shee I understand but rick deserves it, they could of ease down on the bullying but he abuse her more than 3x time which made him look weak, can't expect people to forgive you that quick from an apology, it was so cringe watching him come back to degrassi like he thought everybody was gone forget the Terri situation smh, emma kills me too cause she such a follower trying impress paige bullying rick than wants to feel bad for him 🤣
Turn away from him quick now
He can’t shoot it. It’s a 1911 that needs to be cocked first. Pulling the trigger won’t shoot the gun. I’m a gun nerd lol.
