I have sent multiple feedbacks for my Oppo A78, the device got so many performance issues and bugs like lower performance issues, unresponsive gesture and camera lagging or stuttering when taking videos. I have called them and reported this bug through an agent and through this feedback app. Sadly it doesn't guarantee that they are going to check anything at all. They don't show you if they checked it or not and they might release other patches without really addressing anything.

Some of the bugs I submitted got replies from engineers. Some got resolved in a few months and some are pending. The current feedback tool lacks the transparency we need. Many-a-times they will respond only to feedbacks with proper logs.

@@NewbieHelper Interested to know, I submitted lots of bugs and got no replies for weeks and no updates or patch notes.
It's my first time using Oppo products and I bought the A series because it wasn't too expensive and not too cheap either but if these stuff don't get ironed out on the next remaining patches then I will just downgrade to os 13 till I get a new phone.

I find A series phones to be a bit more on the weaker side in terms of refinement. I felt like they don't strive for perfection for A series phones. I also have recieved replies from engineers that something broken is a design feature.
For example, I had one issue. If an app, say Gmail has a specific language set for it different from default language, the keyboard will change layout upon opening Gmail. But does not go back to system default keyboard if I close Gmail and open another app. I reported it and the engineer said this is a feature. If an app can change keyboard why can't the system revert it upon closing it?

@@NewbieHelper You are absolutely right, they don't strive for perfection because its not a high end phone its barely a mid range if you could call it that, but os 13 was running smoothly, after os 14 everything went south, performance, stuttering, lag and especially camera, I bought the phone for a decent camera, I didn't buy it for performance because I don't use the phone that much. but when issues appear on your phone when it was running fine, then I have the right to ask them to fix it

This happens because they have a bunch of external testers before they launch a new device. They will iron out a lot of problems. When an update comes at a later point, only internal testers will be involved. You are right that they should listen to us more. But sadly that doesn't happen.
