Had someone spit twice on my Camaro bumper 2 weeks ago. I’m not sure why they did that but it was either a customer mad at me at work, maybe the SJW millennial that was driving a smart car at a gas station I was at while picking up some Powerade. Or a neighbor that want to send a message but sent the wrong on that meant they’re acting like a child that needs a whomping... Either way I made sure I wasn’t going to be F’ed with at work I stood my ground that if I catch someone during my job that I would lose it and get arrested for assault. If it was that hippie wanna be I told the clerk to give him a message that he’s just butt hurt because he didn’t work for it. If it was a neighbor I told them if they tried it again I would sit next to a tree in a Gilly suit with my bow and arrow with a six pack and wait for them to do it again and chase them while calling the cops for vandalism. I wash my car when it has suffered rain, but when it’s a quick wipe down from pollen and dirt I just wax the car using multiple rags to collect the dirt and another to spread the wax so it doesn’t look sloppy. I hate hearing the excuses of “it’s just a car, why do you care so much?” It’s not just a car it’s a piece of you when you care about your car. It’s a character trait you achieved to have this. You may not have trophies lying around or have a nice house but it’s something you got with your hard work you’re proud of to have. People see a nice car and assume you’re rich or have it made. It’s disrespectful to spit on something that someone has worked for and achieved to have. That’s why if I see a nice car parked away in a lot I’ll park near them but leave a space between us as a buffer of hey I like your car and respect the spot that I would have parked also. Last night I parked at an arcade and chose a spot that’s out of the way. The guy parked next to me was in a GTR and we talked he said “I respect that you have 3 foot doors and it’s hard to climb out of.” He’s a great guy and understanding of what it means to respect others. I love people that he knew about cars. Where our seats sits doesn’t mean that’s where our legs end like with basic cars SUVs and trucks. People who know, our legs are actually under the cars dash stretch out with no knee room. People who have never sat in a muscle or sports car have no idea what we have to deal with when getting in or out.
Non car people are the worst. Just be glad it wasn't bird crap or sap that's what can really damage the clear coat fast if you dont take it off in time. This truck had sap all over it luckily I got to it in time so no damage was done
