I think these are honestly better than the ones Disney just came out with ❤️
I still think you are the best ear maker. You don't use cardboard and you hand stitch them down. This comment from my mom.
Love these. Just became a Disney annual pass holder and want to start building my ears collection but don’t want to have the same ears as everyone. Loving all the diy videos and this one is absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing.
I think a candy corn version of these might need to go on my to do list...
I was nervous you were going to use real lollipops at first. Count me amazed! These turned out awesome!!! Thanks for sharing 😁
Yep you could just use resin and your good to go
I going to make these but I'm going to coat them with clear resin to make them extra shiny
Teddy Little how did it come out?
They turned out ok but I never got to coating them with epoxy I would highly recommend that seeing as it gives them extra structure and support. I eagerly took them to Disneyland (before poop hit the fan) with me and they broke right as I was going through security 😭 but otherwise I LOVED making them they turned out super cute.
the rolling of the clay was so satisfying to watch. Love these
This is so cool! You should make them and sell them on Etsy! I'd buy them 💕
In the process of making these now (the clay isnt fully dried yet) and while they don’t look as good as yours, i think theyre still turning out pretty decently. I’m so excited to wear them!!!
So cute! I wish there was a close up to see the details, but These are genius. I would love to make Cinderella color-styled lollipops!
I made them!!! You are amazing for posting this video. I made a rainbow set like your video and I have a Haunted Mansion set drying. For Haunted Mansion I did green / white / black for the candy ears and doing a purple bow. I did use Mod Podge extra glossy instead of the Crayola gloss and it worked well.
Your channel is absolutely wonderful and I only wish I could post a pic! Have a wonderful weekend.
Katherine Chapman that sounds amazing! i’ve heard of model magic cracking when it dries, did you have any trouble with that?
Hello!! Sorry for the delay. The clay does crack a bit after you handle it for a while, but honestly, not too bad at all. You would never tell from 3 ft away and the gloss helps fill the cracks as well.
*I now have lollipop ears available to purchase on my Etsy! Check out the different fun colors and designs!* -> confectionearshop.etsy.com
Please note there are some copy-cat sellers of my ears on Etsy. I created this DIY as a fun personal project, I would kindly ask that others do not take it for their own profit.
My friend sent me this and my first thought was "wow, wouldn't the candy melt on her head?" but then when I saw that you MADE them my jaw DROPPED! Those look incredibly real!!
Thank you sooo much for this diy. I’m making vanellope von schweetz ears with this!! 😍😍
These ears are so fun and cute! I love them 💕 Your designs are ingenious and beautifully executed💖
Disney needs to commission you for new design ideas! A lot of Disney park ears and their high-end "designer" collection ears be ugly😂
I was sorry to hear that people were stealing your design, and passing it off as their own. 😡 I also think the new Disney Parks version pales in comparison to yours. Keep up the good work! ❤️
I think it'd be so cute if you put candy charms/beads instead of the clear ones
I just love your ears! You do such an amazing job and are so creative! I am going to make the lollipops and the gold 50th. So excited!
This is such a good idea! I might recreate some color schemes from the Hong Kong Disneyland lollipop pins.
What a fun activity for my daughter and me to do this summer ... love this
So so so cute!!!!
Will water such as rain ruin the clay? I haven’t finished watching yet. But asking anyways.
I totally bought these from your shop a few weeks ago! They are perfect 😍
Desiree Fryman what is her shop name?
Kira Lalh it’s in the description
Great DIY! I think the lollipop ears are super cute! I'd love to make a pair when I get the chance.
What a lovely and unique DIY! I loved it!
Does strong craft glue stick to Model Magic? I've never worked with it, but my trick for gluing heavier objects is to use 50/50 craft glue and hot glue; the hot glue keeps the pieces together while the craft glue dries, and that way, if the hot glue ever gets weak, the craft glue can hold it together. But sometimes craft glue can be picky about what it wants to bond to haha!
These are amazing!! I WISH I was this creative!
These are sooo cute!!!!!
Omg i LOVE this! Will be making them for my daughter's and my trip to WDW!
I was sooooo impressed watching this can’t wait to give it a try ! Thank u for posting !!
These lollipop ears are probably the coolest thing I’ve ever seen being made with the air dry clay! I wonder if this would work the same with bake clay? Anyway great idea! I want to make these!!! 🍭
So adorable! Thanks for the DIY. I have a feeling the prices of the ears will just keep going up so it's time to try making a few of my own.
Definately an advanced craft project. But completely adorable. They look so cute on you. TFS.
Love these!!
Very cute and professional looking as well. Thank you for sharing. ♥️
I'm watching this video again, because 😱😂 I am thinking about attempting to make them too. 🍀🍀🍀
The intro is so adorable awww🙌🙌🙌💜💜
Very cute ears!
Just found this and am so obsessed!!!!
I'm late to the party for this video. Just wanted to stop by and say, they came out so beautiful. You did an excellent job.
Love it!!!
Absolutely adorable!!!
Such a cute and fun idea!
This is so incredible! I was shocked to learn those weren’t real lollipops!!!
GREAT job, are they heavy??
You made that look so easy. They are adorable!
These are adorable! I want to make them for my next Disneyland trip!
Youres so amazing and talented!
They are so cute!
Amazing ! I will definitely try this! My girls love lollypop they will be so excited about these ears! Thanks for sharing!
I love these! I've become obsessed with making ears for my DCP haha :)
these are so much better than the version that Disney sells. thank you for this
Adorei muito lindo! 😍
How creative! Thank you so much for the video
Awesome job
This is NEXT LEVEL! So awesome!! 🍭👏👏👏👏
I really like this diy I think u should make more videos like this
So cute!
I’ve used model magic before, and it’s cracked like crazy during the drying process and made the pieces completely worthless. Did you have any issues with them cracking while drying?? Or any tips to avoid the cracking???
Dakota Miller I wouldn’t doubt that you can make these with polymer clay (which has to be baked in the oven) as well but the bottom curve part that attaches to the headband needs to be perfect. That way it can be glued on with no problems. Also since polymer clay is heavier, I’d use a much smaller white center to wrap the other colors around. Polymer clay is really forgiving so you’d have to just play around with it. Hope this helps 👍🏽
I know this is an older comments but there's a new foam clay that acts as clay then when it dries it feels like foam. They sell white ones that you can dye so it could work similar to this with minimal cracking that's what I'm going to try. I would suggest not using polymer clay as that's to heavy once dry and is more fragile in the long run
Wow, you are incredibly creative!
these are so cute!! I thought they were real lollipops! 🍭💗
Love these ears 😍 I wanna attempt a pair myself. Is it possible to use fimo clay? Hard to get that crayola in the UK! X
Did u try this?
These are so cute and unique, I'm definitely going to make these for my daughter for our upcoming trip
I have to try this someday!! You're so creative
Those Disney ears so sweet & awesome ;)
Great tutorial. Had no idea this could be done.
Those are awesome. We will definitely make these!!! Thank you.
You could also shrink wrap the lollipops before you gone em then they'd look super legit
Good idea!!!
Nadia Tovar ok! Game changed!
Love love love ! 😍😍😍
Adorable! Is this not top heavy though?
I'm possibly going to Disney with my bestfriend here soon once my college semester ends for the first time since I was really little. I think i want to make these
They are so cute! I need to make some! Just subscribed!
So cute!!
i love these so much!
Are these heavy? I’m loving how original they are but I’m looking for kids to wear them. If they fell off the head, would they break on the first fall?
such beautiful ears! im in love
Super creative!! Nice job 🍭🍫🍬
omg I loved this diy....going to make a pair...soo cute and creative
Love these ears! Just ordered a pair off your Etsy shop!! Just a question though- can rain ruin these ears even with the shiny sheen covering on them?
I've just started to use resin to gloss/coat the ears, it's a bit more time consuming but they're fully water-proof now!
Woah these look good enough to eat lol
Made my first ears from this video thanks
This video was two years ago!! How did these ears hold up?
How long did the ears last?
im going to disneyworld in november and im thinking about getting a set of your christmas ears!
WOW!!!
It's so cute🐭🖤
I want to make this🤩
Love it
とっても可愛い😍😍
Cute♡♡♡
So pretty
I made 4 pairs for ourtrip to Tokyo Disneyland last August, my sister wore hers on It's a small world the other girls didn't wear their's 😓. Mine made it all te way to Tokyo then it fell off the dresser as I was getting ready...😣 but I mended it with some E6000 and glossy ModPodge. My daycare kids asked if I was afraid my lollipops were going to melt or get eaten🤣
Quick question... I was about to buy the Crayola Model Magic clay to make these, and noticed they are listed as being water soluble. Are these going to be ruined in the rain??
once they are coated in glaze they become more protected from the elements.
Can you make the ears out of Fimo clay? Or it that too heavy..? I would looove to make those ears but the Crayola clay isn’t available in my country 😔
you should add some king of gloss to it so it doesnt keep the dullness of the clay
kmg1043 she did.
she adds a glaze at 12:39 to 13:01
I couldn't get crayola so i tried it with silk clay which i believed to be similar... Well I guess its not... Or need way more practice which would mean wasting a lot of clay 🥲
Anyway thanks for sharing this tutorial ❤
Okaay so how would you go about making peppermint ones?
Replace all the color sections with just red
Has anything changed about how or what you make these out of?
How do you deal with copyright with Disney. I want to make something that has Disney and I’m a bit scared.
does the white blob log have to be white?
How thick do you make them? How long do you roll it to get the right size?
I was wondering this too. I thought about the thickness of a pencil looked good when I made them. It's hard to keep the thickness consistent, so practice definitely makes perfect.
I made the grave mistake of trying this with a different brand of air dry clay. I am an art teacher; I should know better than to stray from Crayola! The texture was weird and the lines did not stay smooth as we rolled out the log. They got all jagged and weird. Lesson learned! Oh well; my daughter now has a ton of clay to play with. She is making small lollipops and things for her dolls. Will try again with actual Model Magic soon!
I want to make a pair in Vanellope’s colors!
Totally trying this tonight! At what point did you apply the gloss? Could I use a spray enamel gloss?
You want to apply the gloss after the clay has pretty much fully dried out. I've only tried painted on gloss, but anything that adds protection and shine should work!
