ah yes the pos *death-clarity song* its the lyrics go both ways for zato and Eddie due to their magical symbiotic nature and how they indirectly "corrupted" each other tougth their inherent nature zatos ambitions and edidie somewat volatile nature due to its nature as a bio weapon made to fight against gears bound to a book for god knows how long, and its eventual falling bond that was steadily draining zatos life force and made Eddie carve something, freedom from the dying shell self identity confirmation and his own place on this world and he went on using zatos body just to do that until milla ended his life in memory of zato as he layed there dying he eventually realised on his last moments on how he had messed up and that zato was actually his only friend and his own (ruthless)ambitions had blinded him like they had blinded zato, and he understood how zato felt like when he (eddie) turned on zato and stole his freedom away from him, he dreads his past actions but realises he can try to make things different now that he is back to the land of the living, and zato is emotionless living husk still trying to reconcile with milla that's one of the reason they reconciled to a degree on gg xrd
I think it just stopped being fun for him? Idk man, this game says magic becomes technology because Y2K, I think the little demon dude can have his moment.
Eddie got stuck in hell with Zato-1. Hell doesn't have the concept of time, so they were basically stuck together for an eternity despite still being *temporarily* dead. I don't think an eternity's worth being spent hating on someone. So, Eddie became Zato-1's buddy that helps him through his post-eternity-of-hell lack of emotion predicament, by metaphorically carving a way for him.
5:27 this part gives a lot more depression than the original
