I forgot to mention it in the video but if you want the Champions Tunic, make sure you grab that from the Throne Room BEFORE performing this. Once it's done, youll be locked out and wont be able to get the Tunic.

I did the MsgNotFound glitch after beating the story, and using that with different fusions for things like breaking rocks or starting fires is super nifty (I've got like 5 copies with different items fused... I have sharp damage, blunt damage, fire, electric & ice... super useful for post-game shenanigans)
Honestly, it's the Ganon chasing you around that has sold me on this. I might actually start a new game and do it. Unbreakable Master Sword is OP, but Ganon chasing you around the castle gives this horror game vibes and I'm here for it.
I was hoping the Gloom Spawn would be more aggressive hunting you down and was expecting that was how they work. It's almost laughable how easy you can escape from them as long has you have the high ground
In ways this is better than MSG master sword, getting the buff and no weapon slot taken by the MSG is nice to have. Hopefully this paves the way to a better unbreakable master sword as well. There are other phantom ganon spawns that font require much of the game to be completed so I’m wondering if there is a way to do something similar so you can “steal” this version of the master sword. Also if there is a way to do this with the actual Ganondorf fight that could work if there is a way to escape that area during it. Thanks to all who discovered this!

Obviously MSG is better overall, you can get it like 20 minutes into starting a save that takes little effort. theres still things you can do, people still play post game for building as there is a whole community for it. Finishing shrines, battling bosses in Depths, completing the game, collecting resources as you continue post game all can help with having an unbreakable weapon. Also it’s just cool to have in general, MSG doesn’t even receive that awakened buff or blue particle effect like this does
@@splish_2 the MsgNotFound has the awakened effect (glows blue, both sheathed and unsheathed).... my biggest issue with it is the glow & humming when it's sheathed.

It has a lite version of it, the blue aura only lightly coats the sword for this version (you can still see the silver blade, whereas in the full awakened form the entire blade turns bright blue). It also doesn't get the *CLANG* sound effect the full awakened version gets like in BotW and against Ganondorf in TotK.
Ok but imagine a Phantom Ganon boss that constantly knows where you are and chases you across the Hyrule Map (with the sky islands being the one exception, as they were made to be out of Ganondorfs reach). It's like a Mr X or Nemisis type enemy and can't be killed until you get the Master Sword, which finally slays it.
Imagine if you realize you can’t hit phantom ganon or are doing next to no damage so the game tells you to find the master sword, and until you find it phantom ganon won’t stop following you. You pull out a wing and he’ll spawn on top of it, you paraglide away and a purple blob flies after you, you can’t fast travel and be chases you all the way to korok forest where the deku tree tells you that the master sword is in the sky. You get up there and at last phantom ganon is repelled by the light dragon magic, you pull the master sword and finally beat it.
Very impressive! Also Phantom Ganon going full Mr. X mode and following you out sounds like something they should have had in the game from the start. ^^
So I had the MSG and got this unbreakable master sword. Ever since the MSG swords no longer hum and don’t have the weird handle/hilt glow when sheathed. Win-win!
If you add a lynel horn as the first fuse for it you can get a base attack of 460, sneakstriking any opponent would kill it instantly and making this the official canon master sword as it has been empowered for a very long time.
wait, your *fusion* never breaks, too? also: after one does this glitch, can you still select "destroy fused material" from the menu & then fuse something else if you didn't like that "first fuse"?
Thanks so much dude! Fuse entanglement took me like an hour but I made it, didn't screw up, chose to get the AMS full HP so I don't break the game too much. So cool to have the glowing effect all the time and perfect for zonaite farm!

That one side effect of Phantom Ganon chasing you out of the castle sounds like it should just be made a feature. LOL Like, imagine, instead of Gloom Lurkers, you end up with random Phantom Ganon fights.
14:42 having Ganon show up at literally any point while you're playing to attack you like he's constantly chasing you down is exactly what I wanted out of this game and I did not get it, seeing it here is radical and reminds me of all the missed opportunities that developers left on the cutting room floor
since thematically they want you to use the master sword to fight ganon (if you have it), the phantom ganon fight makes the master sword unbreakable so you can use it for the whole fight. we're just breaking out of the fight while its active so the effect doesnt go away like it normally does after you beat him

As a programmer, this makes sense. A flag is set that you are in the flight with Phantom Ganon in the castle, and that is what is causing these side effects. But the program checks to see if you are in the fight to determine if your master sword loses power or not, etc.

another guy found a way to put attack up 10on the master sword, basicaly you fuse entangle a battery on to mineru and walk near a wall until you get phase culling then desync the master sword with another weapon , open a chest with a weapon inside, drop the desynced weapon then take up a weapon with the buff.

This is a very interesting glitch, especially being able to escape an area that the game prevents you from leaving. I also saw a similar glitch about escaping the Catch Zelda sequence after beating the Demon Dragon and activating a minigame on the Bravery Island; and for some reasons Dying in that state will put back onto the Demon Dragon fight, but without the Save and Warp restrictions.

For anyone curious about the endgame and what you can and cannot do, I just confirmed this morning that you CAN still go into the Depths below Hyrule Castle and beat the game normally. The Phantom Ganon fight here is not the same one as Hyrule Castle. When you complete the game, load your autosave with the star and then make a new manual save to hold onto your completed progress. You'll still have to reload your save if you hard reboot the game but it won't affect your Master Sword
So you have opted to change the story into one where Link chooses to unlesh Gannon on the world in echange for the full power of the Master Sword... So Link is officially the Bad guy in this play through 🤣
A game where the final boss chases you relentlessly in certain areas sounds absolutely horrifying, and with someone like phantom ganon it makes sence canonicly given demises curse i want someone to make a mod of this now lol

Your videos are the best in explaining this. Thank you. Also, I followed your instructions and managed to do it with a completed save file. The caveat is that I hadn't actually defeated phantom ganon. I just ran straight for the final boss thus I could come back and do this glitch.
Even though I know I won't try this it was still an entertaining watch. Personally by the time you get to this point in the game to make use of this, You'll be begging for all your weapons to break because you're just so stacked on high level fuse materials already. It's impossible to be down to your last weapon in this game compared to BOTW.
having ganon actively hunt you around the castle seems like it should be happening anyways. the sit and wait for you to arrive hasn't always worked out for him XD
What happens if you go fight Ganondorf with this glitch activated? Does killing the Phantom Ganon that doesn’t give you a Heart Container count as killing him and ending the glitch?
Both are fine, they don't disable the glitch since it depends on that specific Phantom Ganon fight from the story to still be alive. Also killing ganondorf proper just reverts you to a save before you fight him too so that wouldn't matter. Also I just killed the Phantom Ganon at the bottom of the Great Deku tree with the glitched Awakened Master Sword, and it stayed afterwards since again, it's tied to the phantom ganon at hyrule castle specifically.
How did you get a +10 modifier? For me the world level wasn't high enough to find one via pure rng, since I never defeated phantom ganon by doing the glitch.
Hey dude just before you fight phantom ganon make sure you get the champions leathers Because when his fight begins the puzzle for getting the champions leathers gets disabled

Just wanna say, you can do this on a post game file... with a couple stipulations. You beat the game before you did the temples, and didn't progress the crisis at hyrule castle main quest to the Phantom ganons fight.

The real master sword, yes (as in not the msg). Im not sure what you mean by original but if youre referring it breaking it and having it recharge, that doesnt matter. Never broken or broken 100 times wont make any difference
PLEASE. Upload a clip of phantom ganon teleporting to you at around 13:57 with no voice and just the part of last surprise that was in that clip. I know for a fact I will be laughing my butt off for hours if you upload that
I got the Msgnotfound in 1.2.1 by replacing a line in the save file in a hex editor on a whim and restoring it back to my OFW. Found the location and values by starting a new game on v1 on my modded side, getting the NoMsg using the old exploit, and then using a save editor to see the values and names of the weapons and slots. Then just searched for my slot two weapon in my OFW save and replacing it with the line from my v1. Even kept the fused item I had.
@@SuishiYT the one I used crashes everytime I tried opening a save with the NoMsg, so instead I opened the save just before I got the sword to find the item name in the first slot (prob could have just looked it up online), then with hex editor used that to reference my second slot in both saves and replaced the line

if you watch my next video after this, theres a part where i go over a way for you to damage the master sword after its been made unbreakable. you can use that to break it and itll recharge to normal durability, getting rid of the message and red flash
oh weiiird... i found the part in your next vid - so it literally goes back to the 10 minute cooldown timer as if it was the normal master sword, & then when power is restored it becomes unbreakable again? wild!
ok, last questions, i promise: 1) can i just do the mineru + sidon trick to break it? & 2) would my resulting unbreakable master sword be double-damaging compared to the the normal one? [i believe you had said the crit stacked on top of the 2x multiplier?]
I really need to find a list of newer glitches that work on older versions. There are some things I want to try just because, but I'm on 1.1.2, and this is the first recent video I've found addressing older versions along with newer.
The side effects were so close, yet so far away. I thought it'd be cool for Zelda to have a final boss that follows you all over the map, including the safe arounds and your house. The way you describe the Phantom Ganon glitch got me excited...but he still can't leave his front yard. Oh well, maybe Nintendo will see this glitch and be inspired for next time.
Side affects I’ve gotten from this glitch: I got auto build after doing the glitch and every time I attach 2 things together I get the tutorial message as if it’s my first time. Also 2nd Octorocks keep spawning near where octorocks are normally. Since I’m in on 1.1.2 this is great for weapon/sheild/bow dup glitches but if I mess up and go back a save the glitched octorock will disappear.
That just sounds like a twisted deal with the devil! Sure you will be granted infinite power... But a phantom will hunt you down no matter where you go. 😮
I've always been scared to get the MSGNotFound thinking I will cover my autosave and lose my file, well now that I cant get it anymore, this is the only way for me to actually make combat montages since pretty much 99% of the combat totk players got this

@ofstrings2 yep fusions that aren't weapons on weapons will never break. And yes you can remove the fusion if you want to I believe

having ganon actively hunt you around the castle seems like it should be happening anyways. the sit and wait for you to arrive hasn't always worked out for him XD

What happens if you go fight Ganondorf with this glitch activated? Does killing the Phantom Ganon that doesn’t give you a Heart Container count as killing him and ending the glitch?

And if you do end the glitch, can you load a save you had after performing the glitch and all is still good?
Both are fine, they don't disable the glitch since it depends on that specific Phantom Ganon fight from the story to still be alive.
Also killing ganondorf proper just reverts you to a save before you fight him too so that wouldn't matter. Also I just killed the Phantom Ganon at the bottom of the Great Deku tree with the glitched Awakened Master Sword, and it stayed afterwards since again, it's tied to the phantom ganon at hyrule castle specifically.

How did you get a +10 modifier? For me the world level wasn't high enough to find one via pure rng, since I never defeated phantom ganon by doing the glitch.
@@funman-h7w To get the master sword with +10 damage bonus you must do a hard glitch.
That head piece reminds me of the "Furi" Game on steam.....Such a wonderful fighter.

Because when his fight begins the puzzle for getting the champions leathers gets disabled

This is just fixing developer's oversight: it never made any sense that the Master Sword should behave as it did in botw to begin with!

Just wanna say, you can do this on a post game file... with a couple stipulations. You beat the game before you did the temples, and didn't progress the crisis at hyrule castle main quest to the Phantom ganons fight.

The real master sword, yes (as in not the msg). Im not sure what you mean by original but if youre referring it breaking it and having it recharge, that doesnt matter. Never broken or broken 100 times wont make any difference

PLEASE. Upload a clip of phantom ganon teleporting to you at around 13:57 with no voice and just the part of last surprise that was in that clip. I know for a fact I will be laughing my butt off for hours if you upload that
I got the Msgnotfound in 1.2.1 by replacing a line in the save file in a hex editor on a whim and restoring it back to my OFW. Found the location and values by starting a new game on v1 on my modded side, getting the NoMsg using the old exploit, and then using a save editor to see the values and names of the weapons and slots. Then just searched for my slot two weapon in my OFW save and replacing it with the line from my v1. Even kept the fused item I had.
if you have the ability to export and edit your save, why not just use the save editor to add one to your inventory?
@@SuishiYT the one I used crashes everytime I tried opening a save with the NoMsg, so instead I opened the save just before I got the sword to find the item name in the first slot (prob could have just looked it up online), then with hex editor used that to reference my second slot in both saves and replaced the line

but damn - i just wish i knew ahead of time that the "master sword is running low on energy" pop-up would be permanent (let alone the blinking red icon). for me personally, not worth the extra critical damage buff. so for anyone else like me w/ weird aesthetic preferences: be warned!
if you watch my next video after this, theres a part where i go over a way for you to damage the master sword after its been made unbreakable. you can use that to break it and itll recharge to normal durability, getting rid of the message and red flash

oh weiiird... i found the part in your next vid - so it literally goes back to the 10 minute cooldown timer as if it was the normal master sword, & then when power is restored it becomes unbreakable again? wild!

The side effects were so close, yet so far away. I thought it'd be cool for Zelda to have a final boss that follows you all over the map, including the safe arounds and your house. The way you describe the Phantom Ganon glitch got me excited...but he still can't leave his front yard. Oh well, maybe Nintendo will see this glitch and be inspired for next time.

Side affects I’ve gotten from this glitch: I got auto build after doing the glitch and every time I attach 2 things together I get the tutorial message as if it’s my first time. Also 2nd Octorocks keep spawning near where octorocks are normally. Since I’m in on 1.1.2 this is great for weapon/sheild/bow dup glitches but if I mess up and go back a save the glitched octorock will disappear.
I think Phantom Ganon hunting you around central Hyrule is more fun than an op unbreakable master sword. Fr

I've always been scared to get the MSGNotFound thinking I will cover my autosave and lose my file, well now that I cant get it anymore, this is the only way for me to actually make combat montages since pretty much 99% of the combat totk players got this

I was so excited, I’ve been waiting since I got this game to get an unbreakable Master Sword. Said excitement lasted about a minute, until you said you can’t have the Crisis at Hyrule Castle quest completed to do this. Guess I’ll keep waiting… lmao
