Some of my favorites from The Carpenters: -We've Only Just Begun (Borrowed from a bank commercial and made into a hit) -Close to You -This Masquerade -Solitaire -I Need to Be in Love -Now (The last song they recorded before she died) Also, not a single song perse, but a medley of Karen Carpenter and Ella Fitzgerald on a TV special called Music Music Music (1980) is really great and proves she can sing ANY style of music, even if it's not her own.
There are always going to be disturbing incidents in your own country and around the world. But as they say, sanity is the ability to keep your inner peace while people around you are losing theirs.
I still have this album, and it is a gem. Few modern day albums can touch the magic preserved in its vinyl!
🎉 Williams, one of the writers, wrote about his sister. Richard Carpenter added his magic and a hit was made
Thanks
Lovely reaction

@@masudashizue777 indeed. Gotta take care of yourself first
Song written by Paul Williams. Two best songs on that album are Superstar and Rainy Days and Mondays. The rest of the album is very good.
The brilliant Paul Williams. The guy who could write this, The Rainbow Connection and everything in Phantom of the Paradise!
So disturbing about those children 😥 but yes this song really is about a positive outcome after a sad start “ nice to know somebody loves me”
Do carpenters live anytime possible
You should watch the video of Rainy Days and Mondays. Karen is wearing yellow and is playing the drums.
@@bookwoman53 I’ll check it out
