Not gonna say that the product was good as I haven't tried it but the way he applied the glu seemed he has no common sense. It's not a adhesive to bind things together infact it seals the small cracks thus provide the water proofing effect.

I do not think you have tested properly. It is not glue. You have painted cardboard box which was leaking in one corner which was not sealed properly. I doubt your way of testing
