    Water Scrubbing Process of Biogas:
Water scrubbing, also known as wet scrubbing or water washing, is a common method for removing impurities, such as Carbon Dioxide (CO2) from biogas. The process involves passing the biogas through a water-based scrubbing solution to absorb and neutralize the unwanted compounds. The key components in a water scrubbing system typically include a water scrubber column, flash column, and stripper column.
    1. Water Scrubber Column:
Function: The water scrubber column serves as the primary contactor between the biogas and the scrubbing solution (usually water or an alkaline solution).
    Operation:
Biogas enters the bottom of the column and rises through the scrubbing solution. CO2 and other impurities in the biogas react with the water or scrubbing solution, leading to their absorption. Cleaned biogas exits the top of the water scrubber column.
    2. Flash Column:
Function: The flash column is designed to allow the release of dissolved gases and to separate the scrubbed biogas from the liquid scrubbing solution.
    Operation:
The scrubbed biogas, still carrying some dissolved gases, enters the flash column. The pressure is reduced in the flash column, causing the dissolved gases to come out of the solution as bubbles (flashing). The separated gases are vented, and the liquid is returned to the water scrubber column.
    3. Stripper Column:
Function: The stripper column is responsible for further removing any remaining dissolved gases and impurities from the scrubbing solution.
    Operation:
The liquid from the flash column enters the stripper column.
Stripping gas (usually air) is introduced at the bottom of the column, causing the remaining dissolved gases to transfer from the liquid to the gas phase. The stripped solution, now largely free of impurities, is recycled back to the water scrubber column.
Overall, the water scrubbing process is effective in removing CO2 and other acidic gases from biogas, making it suitable for various applications. The water scrubber column ensures efficient contact between the biogas and scrubbing solution, while the flash column and stripper column contribute to the separation and purification of the biogas and the regeneration of the scrubbing solution.

We can also mix some organic or inorganic chemicals with water for scrubbing to remove carbon dioxide

Cost depends on plant capacity. Can you please specify the Biogas Plant's capacity in cubic meters so I can let you know about the cost analysis. Thanks!
