Finished second in the bundesliga 7 times...more than any other player in the bundesliga history. I wish he had won the 22/23 more than any other season. Should/could have won at least 3-4. What a talent. one of my top 5 favorite german players. Marco Reus, Lahm, Rüdiger, Özil, Toni Kroos.
That 2018/19 Bundesliga hurts more tbh. That was his standout season! Scored like 17 goals and gave 13 assists I believe. Also it was his first season as a captain and he totally lived up that role in 18/19. But when he was injured for a few weeks in february/march his team dropped a 9 point lead to Bayern and basically bottled the league during that time. That year his team let him down. Everybody knows he did everything he could to win that Bundesliga.
Watched this boss since he was a little pre pubescent looking spotty football shirt lover, buying retro dortmund shirts to collabing with F***ing Reus!!! MUCH LOVE
I love Marco, even as a Bayern fan you have to. Such a legend, and still so down to earth. Wishing him his first league title, because even though you listed it in the beginning of the video, he never won the Bundesliga :/
Marco Reus is the Best example for the People in the US or The Uk that not every German have an Agressiv accent. He's speaking quit and chill I love this Guy Greetings & Much Love from Germany
I always liked Marco even as a Bayern fan, for a player to stay loyal to their club isn’t something you get anymore. I also wish Marco never got injured for the 2014 WC, he should’ve been on that winning podium in Brasil 🙏🏼
THE most underrated footballer of all time. In my opinion the best german player of his generation, that didn't win the World Cup only because of injuries
I know he deserves it but he'll never be on the same level as the 2014 Team stars. Neuer, Kroos, Müller are all above him imo. (He's still my favourite player though)
the blue Maradona shirt looks fire on Marco!!! suits him so well...btw the FIFA game part is so hilarious, I can feel the chemistry between you guys instantly. love this video and hope to see Marco more.
I mean this in the most polite way possible it is a bit fitting that Rosicky was one of his idols growing up and through his career. Two great players, who had great careers, but were also constantly hampered with unfortunate injuries that ultimately prevented them from reaching their potential. I will never not be gutted that Marco wasn’t part of that 2014 German winning squad. I have a Rosicky and Reus Dortmund jersey myself, and they are two of my more prized possessions in my collection.
Im so jealous of Ellis Marco Reus is hands down my favourite player of all time, never been able to explain it but the bloke has always been my number one player above all else. What an episode this was.
Dortmund kits are some of the best in the world, especially the 90s ones. I'm old enough to remember them in the Champions League in the 90s. The neon green and black ones are iconic.
Nice job, Ellis. I remember standing in the Yellow Wall a couple of years ago, where Marco scored the winner against Hoffenheim. The fans adored him. It was such a great night out. BVB fans rock!!!
I know, we do. But I have left the yellow wall behind me. I am now in the posh seats and will never move. I hated the stench of beer, also doesn't help being allergic to hops.
@@pierrelindqvist7726 Oh well, fair play to you and I can understand. But, I found it to be so welcoming and wholesome. Then again, I grew up watching footie in the dark, violent 80s.
@@TeeJayMillz but you have to admit that there is a very big and special rivalry far beyond that. It's the same thing when Ellis mentioned, that Raoul afterwards was a Schalke 04 player 🙈. On the one hand as a German and on the other hand as Dortmundian there can only be acceptance when you're in love with football itself for the very core of it 😏.
I’ve always been a fan of Borussia Dortmund. I started supporting them after Sergej Barbarez joined the team. A few years ago, I and my brother attended a soccer jersey store visit by BVB players in Chicago. I met Reus, Gotze, and a few other players. Honestly, they were incredibly friendly and respectful. Since that day, I’ve become a true BVB supporter. Especially Reus, I’ve started collecting his trading cards and follow his every game.
i love how lively he became during your gaming session and the reactions hahahaha ...rly funny guy great player too ... always loved him .... rly sad for him he had so many injuries .... clearly one of the best ever players to touch a football
This is what I always wanted to see! Marco Reus is (from all the younger players) definitely my favorite one since Borussia Mönchengladbach times. I am such a big fan of him, I own framed matchworn trowsers and an almost livesize Postbank advertisement stand. Great to see him appearing in this wonderful series. Best episode for me together with the Maisie Adam one ❤.
This is the first time I've made the connection to Complex's Sneaker Shopping. Can't believe I never saw the before. That's a huge compliment btw. Joe La Puma is such a dude. Keep going Ellis ❤
Fun Back Story. I’m nearly 24, I’m English, and I’m also a Borussia Dortmund supporting going on 13 years now, and when we first signed Marco, I instantly fell in love with him as a player. All I ever wanted for him was success which was few and far between. For me and any other dortmund fan, there will never be a player we love more than Marco, so seeing this now fully grown up, brings a tear to my eye as I used to watch him as a little boy. I will always love Marco as a person and as a player, he will always be my captain 🥹💛
My first Shirt Shopping episode, because of Marco. Lets go LA Galaxy (Something that makes my DC United heart hurt to say) Get this man a league title.
I can't believe it when he speaks about the black or white shoes, I play in a low italian league but I feel the esact same thing when I use white or black shoes, I thouhght I was the only to think that but Reus saying the same is amazing

My favorite shirt shopping of all time. Even though I'm US I grew up being inspired by lahm, rues, Mueller, and gotze. He seems like such a cool guy. Great content.
It’s amazing to see someone chasing their dreams and getting to where they could’ve only dreamt of years ago. I hope you’ve taken a step back and padded yourself on the back Ellis! Congratulations.
Wow what a step up these are having! Bunch of great shirts, everything seemed to look so cool on him. I really like that Maradona reissue, the Dortmund shirt was class too. Might have to edge the winner with the Dortmund shirt as it's a proper genuine one! Keep up the good work Ellis!
Don't want to be that guy to shame previous guests because they have all been great but getting Reus is by far the best one yet.. what a player and loyal to his club too, so rare these days
True legend of the game. It bothers me how much bad luck he’s had throughout his career, never won a title with Dortmund after coming so agonisingly close and missed the 2014 World Cup due to injury. He deserved more trophies
Episode stepped up with the fifa game, didn’t hear mention of the budget either, I assume due to cfs buying away days. Great episode, well edited, store over there aesthetically great for filming.
Props for Marco's father. Marco van Basten scored the winning goal against Germany in the semis in their Euro tournament in Germany. To name him his son after Van Basten tells something about him, not to behold grudges ..
If it were not for injuries, Reus would have been a undisputed legend. Nevertheless, he is at least to me, still a legend. Amazing player, and very loyal.
These guests are getting better and better, we must be getting close to Ben Gibbs at this point.
Think we'll have a double of Pele and Maradonna then potentially big Ben Gibbs
