At 61yrs old . And Probably 40 of those yrs. Either Building Homes or Commercially , I've recently been deemed 100 disabled & now retired ! And in the last couple years , I've been able to refine my shop and Started building Cabinets for Friends and Family ! And I've learned that Blueprints are a restraint to your imagination ! I started playing the banjo at 10 ? And picked the guitar up at 17,,, Mandolin & fiddle at about 25 or so ! And for several yrs , I always wanted to Build a guitar ! I own probably 7 or 8 and played in many groups from Gospel , Country , I Love Flatpicking ! But when a Stranger comes and says " I Just want you to Build a " Whatever" and they give me the space I have to work with , and then say ,,, Just build me a cabinet or shelves like you do ! So finding Mr. La Due, was like reunting with a Ole friend ! He see's the finished guitar , before he starts ! He gets a Idea,, works the problems out in his head,, refines it and the saw's and cuts and carves until he finds it's done ! Very Smart " Pragmatic " man !
Not only glad and proud to play one of his guitars...#52, but proud to be able to call this man a friend. Kevin is a hell of a guy and you showed him, his personality, and his passion, beautifully in this short.....Great job.
