- In my garden Both Lychee and Longan trees tend to react similar to Fertilizer. Neither like a lot of nitrogen fertilizer , but react well when to the addition of potassium in my garden growing conditions.

I water about once a week during summer.
I use some nitrogen in mine too, it seems to work fine. Which variety is that longan, maybe chompoo?

When it come to Lychee, the only fertilzer I use is Hollytone Evergreen.
If its in a pot, be careful with nitrogen
@@TropicalGardenGuy Basically find an organic fertilizer with no nitrogen… just tested the soil, shows at 6.5. I up-potted it about 2 weeks ago…. It “was” root bound from the Etsy shipping in a tiny pot so maybe it’s recovering still

anything meant for flowers will work. Miracle grow will do in a pinch.
I used to use 10.10.10 and added some 0.10.10.
My lychee is about 5 years old. Lots of flowers but then dropping all, end up I harvest only 5-10 fruits /year. I fertilized 6-30-30 in spring and deep water one a week. Any advice what went wrong?

I do spray the tree with 0.10’10 fert
I dont water my tree until i start seeing flower buds then i drip almost 24/7. until the fruit are full sized . I dont flood the tree.

Hard to say what’s going on in your situation, but generally lychee like additional potassium in my garden.
Are you worried about the roots being the tree is next to the house?
I think that if the tree was in full sun I would be, I keep it pruned back

hard to say without knowing all the growing conditions, use organic fertilizer, and if you can dont use much nitrogen .
I’d grow in ground, if that is not possible keep in a hard pot.
